     HUGE CHANGES TO THE DECK

Try to ignore most of these things as I just made some big changes to the list as all you may know by now, a bunch of DH cards have gotten nerfed..SO what I did was literally brought down the nerfed cards to x2 (being Skull + Adept. Will soon edit the list but, for now I wanted to at least update the most important thing on this page, the deck itself.

Changes made: 7/24/2020

This deck has quite a bit of synergy behind it. There are several win conditions which are:

1. Having Nethrandamus ramp up efficiently with your cards that can summon multiple minions at a time such as, UmberwingCoordinated StrikeSatyr OverseerCommand the Illidari, as well as Coilfang Warlord = 2 minions in one which the rush dies which is a nice activation towards the dragon. Last but not least, Dragonqueen Alexstrasza = 3 minions in one (or more if the dragons you get can generate more).

2. Zephrys the Great and Dragonqueen Alexstrasza are win conditions on their own.

Kadak running the deck in Legend, except this was the older version before we swapped out Consume Magic for Cobalt Spellkin and Imprisoned Antaen for Metamorphosis. Nonetheless, this is a great showcase imo.

       Reasons for running certain                               cards:

1. Wrathscale Naga We run this because, it pairs really well with the x2 Rush spells as listed above. So you can play this on 6 with x3 1/1 rushes and have this proc 3 times for 9 damage being split up. (Or, it could be more if you already have 1+ minion on board).

2. Furious Felfin Is ran because, well, it's a 2 Mana 4/2 Rush. That is just too good of value to pass up.

3. Having Altruis the Outcast paired with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza is just way too good. This is if Altruis sticks for one turn (which can be likely) followed up with Dragonqueen Alexstrasza. x2 free procs with the 0 cost dragons that you get as they always go to the right side of your hand. (Or it can be the other way around but holding onto the 0 cost dragons isn't usually optimal). This isn't what the deck revolves around strictly, but, it's definitely a nice feature in the deck.

4. Update! I cut Mana Burn for Cobalt Spellkin. I did this because, I found how consistent it really is for DH, especially highlander. What are the ONLY 1 costing spells for DH? Mana Burn and Consume Magic so, you will ALWAYS pull those. Either x2 of one, or x1 of each. It also gives more juice for Altruis the Outcast. This way, you also have another card costing 3 or more vs running a 1 cost card which is giving us more value for Skull of Gul'dan. With that said, Cobalt Spellkin will put the spells in your most-right side of your hand meaning it'll put Consume Magic in a spot where you can outcast it for that nice card draw.

5. There are more reasons behind the majority of the cards that have been included but, it's self explanatory after explaining what I've explained thus far.

                  Mulligan Tips:

Well now that you have a basic understanding of how the deck works, let's get to the hard part of understanding exactly what to mulligan and/or what to keep in our starting hand.

First, you almost never want to keep Wrathscale Naga as it's a combo piece that comes later on, on turn 6 to 8 with the Rush spells.

Secondly, if it's a fairly slow match up and if you see Nethrandamus AS WELL as Coordinated Strike and/or Command the Illidari then you could for sure consider keeping those as it makes that 9 drop safe to keep for the late game as it is able to ramp up potently. Otherwise, don't keep them if you know you should look for better answers in the early game vs Fast Decks such as Hunter, other Demon Hunter's maybe Druid with half of them having a bunch of early to mid Treant cards.

Never keep any of your 7  to Mana cards unless with the only exception being what I've recently just mentioned above.

You almost always want to mulligan for non combo/cheap cards such as, your low costing weapons, the 2- Rush, so on and so forth. Non combo cards I'm talking about that you do NOT want to keep in hand are things like Feast of SoulsAltruis the Outcast since you need multiple cards to proc those. BUT, on the other hand, only times you can for sure consider keeping those is when you see Coordinated Strike paired with Feast of Souls (meaning both showing in your starting hand). Another exception with keeping Altruis the Outcast is, when and if you have, say, a cheap 1 cost card that is on the left side of your hand, and/or Twin Slice.

Only time/s you keep Skull of Gul'dan is, when it's on the FAR LEFT side of your starting hand, OR if you got a cheap card to the left of it. Meaning, if Skull is your 2nd card of being to the far left and the MOST left side card next to it being a cheap card that you know you're going to play like 1 to 4/5 Mana or so, then definitely keep it in hand.

              Card Replacements:

If you don't have Kayn Sunfury, you can replace him for Maiev Shadowsong, if you don't have either of those, they can be replaced with: Bone Wraith as well as Illidari Felblade as these are solid 4 Mana cards.

Metamorphosis can be subbed out for a few 3 drops. Frozen Shadoweaver and Bad Luck Albatross

Play-Style Tips:

Majority of the time, you'd want to play Dragonqueen Alexstrasza BEFORE playing Nethrandamus because, you can bait out board clear with Alex 8/8 and maybe only 1 other dragon on the side (you play both dragons you get from her if needed in certain circumstances).    AND if Alex generates a dragon that requires you to have a dragon in hand, you'd want Nethrandamus in hand so you can active the dragon/s you get from Alex. This deck is all about tempo swinging and baiting their board clear / removal. Knowing which cards to play first to bait their removal then you can either bait a 2nd time or go wide, if you do bait the 2nd time, go wide on the 3rd time. Be patient with your combos but not too patient.

(more tips to come, this is for the time being)

                            To wrap things

                              up:

Changes: Replaced Spectral Sight for Sightless Watcher. Reasons Behind This Change: After the increase of the 1 Mana cost of Eye BeamSkull of Gul'dan and Imprisoned Antaen, it is now harder to pull off Outcast. After these nerfs hit DH, it is now a little harder to dump the hand as easy as it used to be. That same reason applies to why we run Feast of Souls over Consume Magic (easier dumps = easier to outcast)
