1. Invoke Galakrond, the Nightmare with Praise Galakrond!, Seal Fate, Shield of Galakrond and upgrade twice.
2. Play a lot of spells with Gadgetzan Auctioneer to empty your deck quickly.
3. Play Malygos and put it back in the deck with Togwaggle's Scheme a couple of times.
4. Play the most upgraded Galakrond, the Nightmare and draw 4x 0-mana Malygos. Deal 46 damage with 2x Sinister Strike.
5. Jobs done.
Whenever 46 damage is not enough to kill your opponent it should be a good idea to run a Platebreaker in the deck for sure.
Not sure if anyone has mentioned it yet but it's technically TTK not OTK, right?
However great deck and as you have already found out it inspired me to make my Mecha'thun Rogue, because quite a lot of cards are identical with a similar playstyle, only the wincondition is different, of course. :D
Well you can kill your opponent in 1 turn, but it takes 2 turns to set it up. You have to play Malygos and Togwaggle's Scheme the turn before. The turn after that you play Galakrond, the Nightmare and draw 4 0-mana Malygos. With your 4 Malygos you can deal 46 damage to face with Sinister Strike. So technically you killed your opponent in 1 turn :D.
That's exactly what I meant :D anyway, thanks for another explanation.
What are you think about use rogue's legendary spell? It is looking good in situation, if you have all of combo, but your deck is not empty.
Yes that's the only time Myra's Unstable Element works, but most of the time you will be almost through your deck anyway. So there is not really the need to run Myra's Unstable Element in this deck. It also is a dead card most of the time and then it's just sitting in the hand, because there are still combo pieces in the deck. I rather have a card that you can use right away.
I came up with the same idea the first time I saw Rogue's Galakrond, "Maly Rogue is Back!"
I also have to say I liked the way you theorycrafted this deck (as an old professional deck-builder), just few things I think can be changed for the better
the other new Rogue Legendary is way too sick to not wanting to have, I'm talking about Flik Skyshiv
I believe Cobalt Spellkin isn't gonna do much in this deck, way too slow and no impact on the board when played...
so that's gonna be an easy swap, another thing that comes to mind is the feel to need for Kronx Dragonhoof
You might wanna disagree with me on this since the way we're planning to use our Galakrond differs from other Galakrond decks, but still imo the card is enough powerful to find its place in every Galakrond list, that being said, we can also abuse Kronx as a 2nd Win condition by adding another Togwaggle's Scheme and use it on Kronx for infinite value, while also increasing our deck's consistency by running 2 copies of Togwaggle's Scheme,
Since I personally believe once people get to play and know enough about this new expansion , we'll be seeing a noticeable growth in number of rogue players on ladder, and you can't bank on an undetermined meta when you're discussing power level of a deck and what's the optimized build for it, you should consider every aspect that you think is possible to become viable.
So I think Flik Skyshiv is an absolute necessity, every Rogue will certainly run it unquestionably, and Kronx Dragonhoof makes the deck more flexible and consistent.
I appreciate the idea of using Corrupted Faceless , very smart.
Not sure if Gadgetzan Auctioneer is the best way to go for this deck but Okay . We probably don't really have a better option in hand for now, and also we might need to free some space for 2 Sap but first impression of the expansion doesn't sound like it'll be a Sap meta so I'll take it. Sorry for talking too much, well done and good luck with your games ;)
Having kronx and another scheme is way too slow. You should either win with maly or kronx, not have both, or you could end up with a super dead hand, which just means gg against any tempo or aggro deck. I agree that spellkin is a bit unnecessary, but I’m not sure skyshiv is right as a replacement. Skyshiv is good against greedy decks, but won’t do much against tempo or aggro I feel, and malygos already punished greedy decks. I think even an SI:7 agent Or pharaoh cat would be more effective at gaining tempo when needed against tempo or aggro decks.
Thanks for the suggestions I appreciate that! The reasons Kronx Dragonhoof and Flik Skyshiv aren't in the deck are:
Let me know how your games went while playing this deck!
You'll lose to full-aggro decks no matter how you build this deck, just like the way for example Malygos Druid loses to Murloc Shaman, it's inevitable , so my suggestion is to not try to sacrifice the flexibility of your deck for the sake of gaining more tempo. and I disagree with saying Kronx Dragonhoof and another scheme being too slow, just take a look at Kronx's Devastations once again, they're insanely good, and you can't wait on your Galakrond for too long most of the time, that highlighted Youtube game played by Regis proves my word. Besides , now that I'm thinking about this more deeply , Jepetto Joybuzz could also remarkably help this deck to get to its desirable point of the game.
You also mentioned you're not sure about how good Flik Skyshiv can be, well remember the card Vilespine Slayer ? and its undeniable impact back in its era ? It was a combo card that you usually needed to have a 1 drop to activate it's combo effect, Now Skyshiv doesn't need that 1 cost card and it's a battlecry minion by itself, plus it doesn't only destroy the targeted minion, it also clears all other copies of that minion wherever they are, so that's even way more powerful, for example you can destroy OTK Paladin's Shirvallah, the Tiger and all its copies created by Sathrovarr in their hand and deck . how come you don't want to have this card in your deck ? I wish it was non-legendary so I could put 2 of it in my list but unfortunately it isn't.
This isn’t galakrond rogue. This is otk rogue. You need galakrond to draw the combo. Therefore, kronx is useless :) if you play galakrond early, you have no win condition. And vilespine was good because it could be coined on 4. And it was a different meta. This is a much stronger meta, so a card with a very similar power level is inevitably weaker.
I have looked at Kronx multiple times and it's an insanely good card in most Galakrond decks, but not in this deck. I don't need the draw effect of it and I don't need the devastation either, because I will play Galakrond only on the turn were I use the combo to win the game. That deck of Regis is way weaker then this deck, it doesn't even have Gadgetzan Auctioneer in it so I don't think you can compare that very well.
I never said anywhere that I'm not sure about how good Flik is. I even said to you that it's fine when you run him in the deck, but I choose to use other cards. I'm definitely going to try it out :)
I just saw Regis playing a similar version of the deck. If any1 interested with the deck should check it out.

Thanks for sharing! Nice video, but I think my version is way more optimized then his version. Without Gadgetzan Auctioneer it's going to be really hard to get to the stage with an empty deck. Instead of that he had the lifesteal package with Zilliax, Khartut Defender and Rotten Applebaum. It's nice to have healing to stay alive, but I think with a more tempo package like Faceless Corruptor, Bloodsail Flybooter and the lackeys from your invoke cards your survivability is already decent.
Could you make a wild version of this?
You can just use this deck in wild :D. I can give it a try with wild cards, but I never play wild myself so I think someone who does can help you better with it for sure!
thank you for the answer, if no one does, i will do for sure, i love otk decks of rogue :)
I can make a wild version. I’ve played quite a bit of wild. I’ll base it on this deck. I’ll post it here
Here it is: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1319607-malygos-otk-rogue-wild
it’s difficult to optimize the exact build for wild, but I tried to make the deck as similar as possible while still making it better for wild. Added patches, swashburglars for early game instead of miscreants and spellkin, counterfeit coins instead of shadowsteps, Elven minstrels instead of one auctioneer and one sinister strike and razorpetal volley instead of the other sinister strike (since you get 2 razorpetals in 1 card)
thank you man, thats gonna be fun for sure :D
What if the opponent has more than 46? :D
