Hi there,
I hope I got your attention with the title. After hitting legend in un goro, my hearthstone journey came to an end. My goal, I had since naxx, was finally met. I just started playing again, but had less fun I experienced before. I did not feel the need to tryhard again. My favourite class rogue was only playing odd rogue, never really liked playing aggro. At this moment I decided to make Mechathun Rogue. I have a lot of fun with the deck and made a lot of changes to ensure it can stand its man on the standard ladder.
Strategy:
Try to survive with doomsayers, removal, vanish etc.
Win condition:
Play your deck and finish with discounted mechathun - preperation - preperation (Valeera) - Walk the plank.
Any tips are always welcome.
I've played a few games with the deck in casual and at rank 5 and I think I have some ideas for improvement.
Valeera is a low tempo high value card. I think you can safely cut it for some more early game.
1 walk the plank is enough I think. Sub in some more early game. SI:7 can work well.
Like someone else said I think Farseer is a low impact card. Sub in an aggressive 3 drop like Thug, SI:7 or Blink Fox.
Vanish, Prep, Backstab, Evasion, Eviscarate, Sap, Zilliax, Auctioneer and Minstrel are all pulling their weight. Wouldn't remove any of them. Fan of Knives is good against Paladin, mediocre against the rest. Good as a draw engine though. Same goes for Shiv. Maybe it's worth getting better cards for them, I haven't found any yet.
The deck does really well against control and other Mecha'thun decks. But loses to aggro hard. That alone will put it in Tier 3 or 4 at best. I'll be trying the Rogue Spellstones after this. Maybe that will work.
Great deck idea, not top tier, but fun for at least a while.
