Hi everyone!
I have made the best version of Pogo-Hopper Rogue right now.
About the deck
The things that makes it speciel is that there is no Fal'dorei Striders and no Sprint. Instead of these cards i have made room for more taunt minions + Saps. This makes it very difficult for aggro to compete against. At the same time Fal'dorei Striders did not do much in my old version, most got burned after using Myra's Unstable Element. The Sprint, was not needed because this deck have a very good curve, and enough carddraw. Added a Corpsetaker because it gets lifesteal, taunt and divine shield from Zilliax. Because there is enough taunt to defeat the aggro decks, i added 2 x Shadowstep and Zola the Gorgon, which adds very good tempo to the deck.
Pogo-Hoppers are the only win condition but you got all you need to stall until you get those big finisher Pogo-Hoppers (<3)
A comment i made, that explains how to play the deck:
Valeera is perfect for playing a lot of pogo's, especially after you have played unstable element. In some situatins you just play Valeera before. I often play Valeera and then the next turn Vanish (and if possible two pogo's same turn). Unstabel Element is not a red button situation. You play it late game and the best situation is if you have a Lab Recruiter on your hand, or a big chance to draw it. After that you can shuffle pogo's into your deck and be sure to draw them + not taking fatique damage. With Valeera you can double your amount of pogo's played after unstable element. Antoher thing is that Zilliax is your lifesaver. Play it end game on a big pogo and you are full heal. So that is a good card to have on your hand before playing unstable element. It should be said though, that sometimes you dont have lab recruiter on your hand after playing unstable element. But that is no problem if you have played valeera and best have Zilliax in your hand. The value from valeera is enough to end the game in a few turns, and your dont have to worry about the fatuiqe. I hope that answered your questions.
Remember shadow step is pure value on Lab Recuiter or just to make a your pogo's bigger, best is one on each. At the same time you have zolo the gorgan which is good late game too, especially if you shadow step it.
Try it out and let me know what you think!
Mulligan:
(Short version)
If you think there is a chance that your opponent is playing aggro (Shaman, Hunter, Rogue, Mage, Paladin, Warlock (in the current meta)), mulligan for taunt minions and Fan of Knives.
Warrior, Priest and Druid decks are mostly control right now, so against those mulligan for Pogo-Hopper and Lab Recruiter

I will update the stats as i play more games, but the matches are pretty long so it takes a bit of time :-)
replace for giggling? because the nerf
hey.. very cool deck. Can u take in a sprint/mimic pod instead of the unstable element ? :D
After going 1-5 at rank 3, I'm pretty sure this deck only works at low rank. Too bad! The one win I had was fun...
I lost everything when i started playing Pogo-Hopper rogue, it takes time to learn to play right, i would say give it another go ;-) Did you meet many zoo warlocks?
Edit: Maybe try to follow the comment i posted in the guide :-)
Thank you for your ideas. As you can see above, all my loses are to zoo warlock too. I would say, either you go for taunt minions like me, or you go for a small amount of minions like you, so i think it is difficult to mix the decks? But please let me know if you find a mix that works :-)
I have had a long break before the expansion, so im rank 7 right now ;-)
Hello mate!
I really like your idea. And I really want to play this deck. However I have some cards missing. I can craft Myra's Unstable Element. But I am unsure about how crucial Valeera and Zola is, in this deck. Do you think that there are some alternatives? At least for Valeera? I can craft them all but then I would be acting too early to spend all my dust in the first week of the expansion :) Thanks!
Hey! Valeera the Hollow is crucial, and not a bad craft either. Zola the Gorgon is not crucial at all, and you can replace it with taunt minon maybe ;-)
Hello. After having a think. I crafted the whole deck XD I have played around 15 games so far with the deck. As far as I remember I have around 50-55% WR. I always lose against zoo no matter what. Surprisingly, in all the games, I never played Valeera or Unstable Element. I feel like Valeera is too slow or very situational. I don't know about spending a whole turn just to become invincible for the next turn. I guess the only time I would need to play Valeera is to avoid being dead? But still, I have not faced such a situation in which I reach a late game where opponent's board is a huge threat. I usually play Vanish to avoid that. But I want to know more about your thoughts.
About Unstable Element... I really don't know when I should play it even though it is in my hand XD I am scared to play it knowing that I would be in fatigue the next turns. I really would like to know how I should approach this card. Some Pogo rogue decks have not included the card but I feel like it is a red button situation?
thanks.
Hey :-) Maybe i should make a guide, because i use those cards all the time.
Edit: Remember shadow step is pure value on Lab Recuiter or just to make your pogo's bigger, best is one on each. At the same time you have zolo the gorgan which is good late game too, especially if you shadow step it.
It makes more sense now. I will be looking forward to your guide. I usually wreck control decks but suffer when I face aggro. Also, I was wondering, is it a good idea to shuffle lab recruiters? So that we could get infinite amount of Pogos? So when we draw our deck, we would be able to generate infinite amount of pogos and not go to fatigue ever (assuming that we have the right cards in the hand after the unstable element). Just a thought though... Could be so dumb :D Also, I have seen some decks putting sunfury protector. I wonder if that is good to replace Tar Creepers?
I will try to post some updates and feedback as I play.
Thanks :)
I started with two Corpsetakers, but if you draw Zilliax first, those two are useless, because of that i would recommend one :-)
