TrickyHunter, one the best deck creators of Eastern Europe, member of Team Ancestral, strikes again with this amazing Murloc Paladin deck. TrickyHunter, in his past, has reached high legend ranks and has even been Rank 1 legend multiple times. Creativity of the tech choices for this decks really show his knowledge of the game.

This deck was built exclusive for tournament set- up with the idea of banning Warlock. Currently the best meta decks for tournaments by TrickyHunter are Aggro decks. Keeping that in mind he altered Murloc Paladin to increase his chances of winning against them.

Divine Favor got cut due to the fact it’s a dead card against aggro match-ups and doesn’t put you ahead on board. Unidentified Maul got cut due to similar reason. Even though it gives good board control tool, it doesn’t develop anything if it doesn’t get the right 25% chance of spawning 1/1’s and even in that case it’s not amazing.

Coldlight Seer has been replaced by Zoobot in the build because on turn 3 you want to develop and win the board. Zoobot on turn 3 is effectively 4/4 minion. Compared to Coldlight Seer on turn 3, in most cases, would buff only one minion and would be an effective 2/5. This small difference can make a vital tipping point in the aggro match-up. Additional benefit of Zoobot is that it can buff your Gentle Megasaur, but that’s not the main purpose of the card.

Fungalmancer is a relatively new card introduced in Kobolds and Catacombs, but it’s not getting the recognition it deserves. Effectively it’s a turn 5 Bonemare which got nerfed by being too strong. Fungalmancer gives you 4/4 charge and allows to get those value trades you really want in aggro match-ups.

To maximize the odds of Fungalmancer hitting two minions, TrickyHunter included Saronite Chain Gang and Finja, the Flying Star. Saronite Chain Gang has strong synergy with Knife Juggler and if you are behind on the board gives you an opportunity to get back on the board. Finja is included because it’s guaranteed activator for Fungalmancer.

The strongest line of play in this deck is playing your Murlocs on curve. If you manage to connect Murloc Tidecaller with Rockpool Hunter you have one of the best starts in the game. In your opening hand following that logic you want to find a 1 Mana murloc with Rockpool Hunter [/card]as follow-up. Very important card to keep is [card]Call to Arms, since the card allows you to win even if you are behind on developing the board.

In this deck you want to get the board early and snowball from there. Important thing is to play around your opponents AOE cards. In priest you want to play around Duskbreaker as best as you can. Against Druid you’re playing around Swipe and so on for every other class.

This deck has possibility for the best starts to the game and potential to close the game out before turn 5. Weakness of the deck is heavy removal, but this deck is build for tournament setup and therefore you're banning the control deck. Against other aggro match-ups you're in a favorable position because of deck building.
