A fun and aggressive little deck that holds up well, all things considered. It's my attempt to create a midrange-y alternative for rogues, something other than Miracle and face rush -- and able to be built on a budget. The deck was designed with handling rush and aggro in mind. It seems to do a good job of that and can also beat midrange, but it's pretty much shut down by heavy control decks.

You want to play very aggressively and hit your opponent's face hard at every opportunity. Keep the pressure up -- but never ignore the board! You have plenty of good removal and the ability to trade efficiently. Use it.

About some of my card selections:

  • Elven Archer was included to trigger combos, but I often find myself making good use of that one extra point of damage.
  • Defias Ringleader is there to help deal with rush decks, but combo-ing him out early is always strong.
  • Ragnaros is your big gun finisher, but often enough I don't even need him.

What's missing?

  • Assassin's Blade. I honestly forgot to include it in the deck! But I haven't missed it. I think it might be too slow for this deck. A 7 mana 3 pt AoE... hmmm... And in practice you usually play it to combo with Blade Flurry and/or lose it an ooze or Harrison, so imo you rarely get full value for the 5 mana.
  • Sprint has admittedly saved my skin many times but, like Assassin's blade, it feels too slow. You want to trade efficiently while pressuring your opponent's life total rather than lean on a late game card draw.
