This should be 3 mana 3/3 because starting with a 1/1 frog at turn 5 is just miserable
Turns out..its fine as is
This aged poorly. Thing's getting a nerf.
I just wanted to say i love the little froggies in the weapon art
Gonna call it, this is the most overhyped card this expansion. Second one being Skarr. Find them both bad to unplayably terrible. Huge deck construction limitations alongside incredible luck to get good on curve play and in addition your opponent must just sit there and let you do your thing for multiple turns....suuuuuure thats how HS works^^
Imo this is comparable with that terrible Druid legendary spell that gets you a couple 8/8s after 4 turns...delayed tempo just has never worked in HS and the frogs pretty much dont matter until like 5/5 and higher. So your opponent, if they run at least one weapon removal will have all the time in the world to play it or just outright kill you before your frogs matter.
That said, Shaman did get good cards as well like the 3 Mana 4/5 Rush, the 2 Mana Murloc and the two 2 Mana spells (the +2/+3 draw a minion type and the restore 5 health+discover one). But the big pay off legendaries seem garbo to me. If those were Twist cards, sure that might work, you would have the Al Akir hero for Windfury and board states in general matter a lot more and Taunts sometimes are hard to remove. But in Standard there is absolutely no way this is any good...
After 30 games of renoshaman.. I disagree. This card owns. Sure when it gets Viperd it sucks...but if this goes unanswered...its just devastating to play agaianst. I love this card..one of my favorites of the set.
Same here. The weapon doing the work, turn after turn.
Really seems they are trying to make Shaman OP with this set. Not sure this card is that amazing, but most of the rest are.
Most of the other reveals so far have been kinda lackluster, until Shaman reveals which are pretty busted.
Nobody ever expects the Battle Froge Shaman. Fun concept.
If I duplicate-buff an already summoned Frog, will the next Frog be bigger than that one, or is this rule strictly on the Weapon's duration?
Taunt every turn + decent weapon. Not enough to make control Shaman viable, but a start with Skarr, the Catastrophe as alternative win con
With no duplicates and 0 support for highlander decks? Forget about it. This is unplayable in standard. I may try it in wild
I love coming back and reading stuff like this after the dust settles.
5 mana 4/5 + 1/1 taunt and easy target for Rustrot viper.
