But still fun with some cards, Puzzle Box of Yogg-Saron, Pyroblast, Rune of the Archmage
Potion of Illusion can be stupid but I think he don't need it
I don't think this is that good. You only get one spell to use right away, then the next turn you could maybe get a bunch of value.
In a lot of cases I would take Kalecgos. You both get one free spell immediately.
As a mage user, this card is trash
Thank god Rune of the Archmage rotated
Finally after all these years, the mad lad did it!
This into solid alibi... Then fireworks next turn
God damnit... Big mage is already annoying as hell. Mana cheat in mage is always always way to strong... This card is gonna feel terrible to play against. Already dreading mage games.
Well, shit, just when Extra Turn Quest Mage was nerfed... This card is going to be a real pain In the ass.
For those wondering, Grey Sage Parrot was recently nerfed to six Mana. Basically, get the Time Portal, play DJ Manastorm, deliberately bump the Time Portal up to 6, then play Time Portal and Brann, and play the Parrot the next turn. It's going to be a more control type shell, but basically Extra Turn Quest Mage returns with a vengeance.
Parrot takes into account the original cost of the spell, though. Which is why it can repeat 0 cost discounted big spells.
Yes, otherwise Turtle Mage would still exist. But they did change Skulking Gheist...
Edit: forgot about the Tortillan Pilgrim nerf. Would take a lot to bring Turtle Mage back, although that 9 mana legendary that recasts spells is sort of a poor man's Turtle mage
Would this effect make cards go over their original cost?
So if an Arcane Bolt was in your hand and it is the 3rd spell you cast, would it go up to 2 mana?
Yes.
No? Check 00:20 if the video. "Vast Wisdom" doesn't go over 2 mana.
"So Milhouse, Pyroblast, Coin, Pyroblast? Sweet!"
"The Coin would technically cost (1)."
"D'oh!"
Standard: I’d be worried, but almost every card that made Big Spell Mage good this year is rotating.
Wild: Degenerate combo enabler, but it is really that much stronger than things mages already do?
Now we see why Millhouse wants us to wait until he gets to 10 mana: So he can drop some sick beats.
Wild review : just a meme card
So true! Turn 10 takes forever.
Yeah plus doesn't win game straight away.. It's a slow standard card and that's it.
Arcane Defenders is probably best card to play this with at turn 10 in standard.
