Patch 23.0 Known Issues - Balance Changes Feedback Heard
A server side hotfix with changes rolled out tonight. Blizzard also mentioned hearing the feedback about Balance changes loud and clear. Read on below!
Additionally, the team has heard feedback on format balance, particularly loudly from the Wild community. There's a few moving pieces that go into that, so nothing to share yet, but the team is working on it.

Quote from Blizzard4/21 Update:
We’re currently in the process of rolling out a server-side hotfix with the following updates:
- Fixes the bug that prevented Lokholar the Ice Lord from being granted in new/returning player decks. Players who already claimed new/returning player decks that were supposed to include Lokholar, and have not already earned Lokholar, will have the card added to their collections in a future update.
- Fixes a bug that allowed Barbed Nets to trigger two ticks of the Hunter Questline under certain circumstances.
- Fixes a bug where Multi-Strike would prevent a player from attacking the enemy hero with Kurtrus, Demon-Render.
- Fixes a bug causing certain Duels players to get stuck when trying to enter the mode.
- Bans Golakka Glutton from Arena deckbuilding.
We will continue to track Patch 23.0 and update this post when we have new information to share.
that's in mmr gold
I never said it shouldn't be nerfed, just that it isn't the powerhouse that people claim and it's win rate will go down over time.
Ban kaelthas in druid.
Remove switcheroo, add new card 3 mana draw 2 minions, set their attack equal to their health. For flavor purposes
Nerf pirate stats accros the board.
Hunter can use hero power 2 times per turn refreshing on killing enemy minion.
Switcheroo is causing problems in wild, but in standard it's actually not that good the deck is super low winrate and gimmicky in standard but funny. Is there a precedent of cards being nerfed in wild but not standard?
Also I am referring to the cheese combos with switcheroo not the fact that many priest deck just use it to draw 2
I can't remember a card being nerfed in wild only in the past, however there have been instances of standard cards being banned in wild (Stealer of Souls being the only one that comes to mind)
So basically they have no idea what to change in standard to fix the absolute mess they have created.
What's wrong with Golakka Glutton in arena? I drafted it a few days ago and got only 4 wins BabyRage
With a lot of highly stated beasts it could be a to strong swing for a 3 mana card that is neutral.
You're just going to get a kaelthas nerf and switcharoo ban in wild, that's the only balance change that will happen. Meanwhile shit that needs to be addressed like pirate and hunter quest will remain unbanned.
...or is it!?
so regarding Wild, I'm guessing something involving Switcheroo and realizing that unnerfing Kael'thas was a really, really bad idea?
Maybe...I dunno...playtest the game BEFORE you release it? Then you can balance it without having us suffer for weeks first?
I'm convinced they haven't play tested a single card they've given druid in last 2 - 3 years. They just keep giving them more mana cheats to the point that they are now playing a different card game.
The problem is that they test in-house and it's clear to all of us that they have no imagination or deviousness. Each expansion should be tested by top players and streamers who think outside the box. If you're worried about spoilers leaking swear them to secrecy.
Have you seen the players that are on the playtest team? Gallen and BoarControl are former Hearthstone Grandmasters. Iksar himself was also a top HS player before he joined Blizzard. The problem isn't that the testers "have no imagination or deviousness". The problem is that no matter how much in-house testing you do, it will pale in comparison with the tens of millions of games that will be played within 24h of the expansion launching.
I don't think it's just a matter of internal testing. You don't really need to be a top legend player or pro streamer to notice that Priest and Warlock are super bad and can't compete with other classes in any reasonable way, or to find out that already strong decks (Ramp Druid and Quest Warrior) got even stronger due to new supporting cards, that other old decks didn't get. It seems like they just don't care.
Brann Bronzebeard + Queen Azshara always crashs the game hehehehehehhehehehehehehe
there is no reason to not make 2 quest steps with barbed nets...(( looks logical
Each Questline step needs you to deal damage with 2 spells. Barbed Nets is not 2 spells.
Surprised there is no fix for the game desync bug.
