This was the last legendary to be revealed, right?
Nope, hunter collosal
I'll be honest I don't understand this curse mechanic
Kind as Curse of Rafaam, but it increases damage each turn
Why they wont show all the cards that are releted to the Abyssal Curse? We cant really say if that mechanic is good or not without knowing all cards
Because they want everyone back to see more cards. Pretty straight forward.
Its only good vs tempo decks (the curse mechanic). Currently the curse pays a high mana price. Like this one. Its a bad 6 drop that only heals you once if the opponent does not stack curses. Like the rafaam one I dont think it will impact much.
Not sure if this new archetype will be strong in the meta, but if it is, I will be glad to see if it can possibly slow down any Aggro decks with the curses stuck in their hand.. unless the Aggro decks try to beat down the opponent, ignore all these curse cards, before they can heal any
That 2 turns remaining still sucks. Why Blizzard? Cursed! from Curse of Rafaam was infinite.
If I had to guess, it is tempt players into holding them, letting the damage ramp up. Assuming they also release some cheap shadow spell that curses and you can spam with Tamsin, you would be able to make a big burst of damage later.
'cuz they can't have multiple curse cards if they all apply infinitely.
deck variety means fun. i cant wait to try this deck
For people to understand why some of us are looking forward to this new Warlock mechanic, this is basically the quintessential Warlock game play from World of Warcraft. Damage over time, that grows stronger and can potentially heal you too.
The idea is basically that you put a bunch of these in your opponent's hand and then run around and dodge their attacks while they wither away and heal you.
This is the closest we have gotten to actual Warlock game play in Hearthstone and I give no shits if this is actually good or not, I am going to enjoy the hell out of trying to make this work Day 1. That alone is worth the expansion for me. :D
Good to know. I'm also still waiting until the discard mechanic that's been around for years can actually be used in a playable deck.
So they generate cards into your opponents hand? I wonder if this can be utilized for some sort of overdraw mill type architype.
I appreciate your vibe brother
Discard Warlock is/was viable though.
In duels it is a playable route to take and there was a very good aggro disco lock in wild (I believe T1-T2).
Don't know how viable it is now, but a year ago I flew to legend with it in no time (kinda cheap too).
They should change the healing for all curses, not only that (read Rafaam and Agony).
Now we are goddamn talking! I am starting to like these more thoughtful interactions!
I suppose that there will be more curse generators to make this archetype viable, right?
