1 more card to Mech buff wild paladin
This truly could just say "Draw any Mech in the bottom 5 cards of your deck. Then Shuffle your deck."
The word Scan makes it look like a custom card.
I think this and Seafloor Savior alone push Wild Handbuff Mech Pally back into the fold. Not to mention whatever other mechs come with paladin or neutrally
I'm not super good at probability math but are the 3 chances to get either the Mage Mech Colossal or the Paladin Mech Colossal out of the 10 potential Colossal cards enough to give this card synergy with Ambassador Faelin?
In the last year, the mechs that have been added and can be played by Paladin is: Popsicooler.
That's it.
However it's not the first time they've pushed an archetype out of nowhere and it's worked. Even though as it stands, mech Paladin looks a bit weak, with a possible mech colossal, bunch of neutrals yet to be announced and a mini set that always pushes a few weaker archetypes or borderline tier 1/s decks into something. This card alone can not only singlehandedly make mech Paladin a thing but also give me divine favour ptsd at the same time. 5 star! (Only if there is good mech support though)
It's sorta similar to Fungal Fortunes, but costs less, potentially draws more, doesn't destroy cards that don't match the condition, and potentially gives you useful information if it shows the other cards. The one downside is it shuffles the deck afterwards, preventing you from using dredge on high power cards that were placed on the bottom. (but also potentially moving up those cards into a normal drawable position)
In other words, very good.
2 mana draw 5, balanced
Just run ALL mechs and this thang! NOTHING can go wrong ;)
but but but... why radar and not sonar?
literally unplayable
Is there a video for this card? I feel its description is janky and I can't think of a better way to write it myself.
Correct me if I understood this card right. It draws you a maximum of 5 mechs from the bottom of your deck if any. Showing you the bottom 5 cards would be pointless since it shuffle the deck afterwards.
I guess the good news is, there will be enough Mechs for Mages to build their deck. I am not so sure what Mech Paladin package going to do. I am still not impressed by their Holy Spells package.
Definitely, it wouldn't make sense to view the 5 cards if a selection is not being made, there already is a filter querying for mechs so to my understanding, you play this card, animation happens, you start to draw cards from your deck if their mechs and then it would have a quick animation for reshuffling.
It doesn't show you the bottom 5 cards. You just draw X mechs if possible and then it does the reshuffling animation. Anyway I think this is printed as a synergy of putting X cards in the bottom of the deck. I'm sure they'll print a mech card that put a better mech in the bottom of your deck. Also is useful for card draw in a mech deck and, in the worst case, if you have a bad bottom, you change it, making the dredge mechanic more useful
Interesting to see which Mech archetype will be better in the meta, between Mage and Paladin....
Just updated my profile pic with the mohawk squid, if anyone wants it too:
So is it fair to assume the inclusion of Zilliax considering the support for mechs in multiple classes this expansion?
Not really. It seems more like GvG will have a lot of cards that come back this year.
I think they will avoid cards with specific keywords like magnetic, echo etc. They never liked it at least in the past to have these keywords in different expansions
I hope not just because the GvG mech cards were pretty boring. Goblin Blastmage, Cobalt Guardian, Upgraded Repair Bot. Cards that say “if have mech, do thing” with no consistent themes or synergy beyond that. I’d prefer to see more boomsday mech cards. The fact that they made mechs a literal voltron archetype with magnetic is the sickest thing ever if you ask me.
Would not be surprised to see Clockwork Gnome or Tinkertown Technician since spare parts go well with Naga.
