Top 5 Duels Moments of the Week
Welcome back to another Top 5 Duels Moments of the Week! Because of how crazy Duels can be with all of its treasures, people experience a lot of crazy once-in-a-lifetime moments. Here, ANYONE can share some of their favorite experiences from their Duels games.
5: Let's Split Up Gang
Prepare to be amazed! Zai, the Incredible works his magic, as he duplicates both Loyal Henchman and Banana Split. Double Time is just icing on the 16/16 cake. If only Zai were this Incredible in standard right?
4: Divine Beasts
You don’t often see the final forms of upgradable treasures, but they’re very satisfying to play. Veteran's Militia Horn is good even on just one minion. Getting to use it with a full board dwarfs just about all other AOE buffs!
3: K'Boom
After all the trouble your opponent goes through to call upon the God of Randomly Split Damage, turns out all you really needed to do copy someone else’s work. Even C’Thun is rolling his eye like “Of course this happened.”
2: Companions for Life
Hunters are nothing without their companions. Playing the Golden Kobold on turn 1 thanks to Emerald Goggles is quite a daring move. Then through the sheer desire to win (and a little help from Book of Wonders) Huffer, Leokk and Misha all heard Professor Slate’s Call of the Wild and rushed to his side!
1: Imp-ossible!
Yet another triumphant early spike with Rally the Troops, this time by Hearthpwn user s1ayer85. For only 2 Mana, you can have a 19-cost board by turn 2. Moral of the Story: If you aren’t a fan of paying a card’s cost, then don’t.
Thank you s1ayer85 for your submissions!

Priest is so cancer lol. I couldn't care less about the win statistics or balance of their copy cards....fact of the matter is when they suck out on you with their Thoughtsteal or Cloning Device like that it is actually just the biggest anti-fun moment you could possibly experience.
I would say it's because it's off your radar:
https://www.twitch.tv/teamamerica
Almost exclusively streams duels, and that's after having been a top arena and constructed player.
Duels is fantastic, I have barely touched ranked mode ever since (been playing it obsessively since 2014).
What makes imo duels great vs "normal" hearthstone
+Somewhat unpredictable, loads of sad and joyful omfg moments
+Deckbuilding is way more varied thanks to different choice of hero powers and starting treasure
+Treasure quality vary from godlike to utter thrash. Your 0-2 despair run can quickly turn into easy mode 12-2
+Defeating your opponent by using their ultra rare treasure against them is very satisfying. For example copying a full board of Wax Rager
Duels needs more love and attention. Thank you heartpwn for creating any duels content!
I had a reverse thing done with C'Thun once. Don't know if it was bugged, but before I finished my C'Thun, my opponent discovered and played it. Luckily I had a bunch of minions on board and survived. I played my discard lifesteal demon and then played the treasure on the C'Thun to turn all minions in my hand into C'Thun, then killed the C'Thun to heal up. Next 2 turns were me just playing C'thuns.
Pew Pew
To quote Disciple of C'Thun, C'Thun, C'THUN, C'THUUUUUN!
Imho in larger numbers than some would believe... I think BG is the mode that is out of place - not even remotely HS related! At least duels could be looked at as a blend of constructed and arena!
Please accept my thanks for producing duels content... you rock!
:D
do people give a shit about duels?
As a matter of fact yes. We exist.
rare bunch
Amazing how many people think that if they don't like something, no one could possibly like it.
Thanks for the Duels content! It's obvious that lots of people enjoy this mode.
Idk if it's 'lots' as you say, can't find a single person streaming duels on twitch, I am curious however why they don't stream it. So instead of downvotes, could you give an explanation as to why the mode is not that 'popular'?
Imo Duels is a better arena format. It's free, very RNG based (which is fun for streaming), and has a more healthy meta than constructed, as far as i can see.
But it's not much fun for new players because you need a good collection in order to be competitive.
The thing is, Arena is an ancient being, so you might find people streaming them because that's their content (e.g. RedBeard). And constructed and BGs will always be popular. So Duels ends up sitting in that niche spot.
I love seeing what HearthPwn and other websites are doing to promote the format. I really think this is the better way to engage new players to play Duels. And as you can see, people care this much about Duels. Why wouldn't, in your opinion?

It is good indeed for streaming, but the player experience is pretty awful given the swingy nature of the playmode. Also blizzard doesn't do tourneys or events for it, so it's not even advertised. The last thing i remember about duels is that killmox was broken, but given that the nerfs don't pop up after an update, you can't really track the changes.
