Stop pre-ordering video games.
If it was a standalone video game, sure - for a lot of us, most of these cards could be awful but we'd still pre-order because we want the card pool. and the adventures will be well-designed regardless. I'd preorder Fallout 4, too.
Up to now I was feeling pretty limited at 3 mana creature choices when building. Looks like they're upping this slot up, I like that.
the cards up until now are pretty dissapointing... they just seem a bit boring imo
stop pre-ordering video games.
Jeez, after Rend, I thought Blizzard hadn't learned anything about the value of health being greater than attack.
Still...if you've got a flamewalker, coin, and arcane missile in hand, by turn 3 you can wipe out your foes whole bored. That is messed up!
Board.
Can't wait to try out Flamewaker. Looks like a nice addition to the control style of Mage. Drop it turn 2+coin or turn 3 and follow up or hold onto spells depending on what your opponent does. As I said in the forum topic for it it is essentially a modified Knife Juggler.
Making all aggro Hunters better. Nice one, Blizzard. =|
PS: I love the class, it's my favorite, but COME ON!
This just makes BGH not useless against aggro hunter.
Now people can build a more balanced deck that works against control and aggro.
On the other hand you if this card becomes a thing you will no longer contest Animal Companion with BgH, which IS a big deal
I called it a month ago that this new expansion wouldn't change a thing in terms of the meta, and all people gave me were downvotes.
Look who's laughin' so far, huh. Lol. New imp just adds more fuel to zoo, too. Surprised nobody's pointed that out.
I really like all of these. They are appear to be at least good, maybe not for constructed, but not laughable bad. Although it is a bit odd that they made two different cards that pop out minions when they take damage.
Edit: no wait, 3 minions, I forgot about Grim Patron
People are saying that the Core Rager makes face Hunter stronger, and I'd disagree. It's a 4 drop that doesn't outpower Piloted Shredder unless you're topdecking. It's got beast synergy yes, but at 4 mana it's too expensive for face Hunter. It's a disaster to draw it in your starting hand and only great when you start topdecking. It's too situational in my opinion, and I don't think we'll actually see people run this card after the meta situates itself to a stable place.
inb4 being totally wrong though.
Good to see a Hunter card that encourages a new style of play Kappa
Sigh.. More power to Mech-mage and Aggro-Hunter I guess! Also Core Rager is horrible! It's not that good in aggro and it doesn't fit into control at all. Plus it's a 7 attack so.. BGH inc. Another Hunter card that will provably never see play. I REALLY hope the other Hunter card is more Control oriented.
Also I have to add that I think what blizzard if trying to do with Aggro-hunter and Mech-mage is to change those decks instead of making them unplayable, they want to shift those decks to slightly different direction so other classes have more chance, but I'm not sure that it's really gonna work.. and I love the Warlocks card! I feel like if they keep adding more demon related cards Demon-lock will soon be a thing which I CAN'T wait for!
Flamewalker won't be used in Mech Mage at all, it's strictly a temp card - not sure where the issue is there. Also, Demonlock is very much already a thing that competes well at tournaments and on the ladder.
Well if you redesign the deck then Flamewalker does work with spare parts "technically" not saying it's the new meta ofc. And Demonlock is a thing, but in its current state it's not that good, I have provably seen DemonLock in the ladder only few times. But again these cards are not making the decks better, it just annoys me that strong classes get completely useless cards that are in most cases focused on supporting the current plays instead of encouraging new plays, For example if Core Rager was "If you have at least 8 cards in your hand gain +3/+3" It would clearly be step towards control hunter, but this is quite opposite imo.
Demonlock is definitely pretty good, and was taken over both Handlock and Zoolock by two players to ESL recently. I don't disagree on Core Rager, it's awful and fits nothing and never will fit anything - but I think the other two are fine for Tempo Mages and Demon Locks.
