Stonetusk Boar & Bluegill Warrior Will Be Moved To Wild Mode
Hearthstone's senior game designer Alec Dawson just announced on his Twitter account that Stonetusk Boar & Bluegill Warrior will be moved to Wild, see more details below.
One last piece of Core set info before card reveals start tomorrow. We will be moving Stonetusk Boar and Bluegill Warrior to Wild, they will go back to their original statlines with Charge. Two new cards will replace Boar/Bluegill in Core, a Beast and a Murloc with Rush.

Looking forward to everyone getting to meet Bluegill Warrior's more rosy-hued friend, and also a friend of Ysera's! ;)

Ugh... Why?
I was happy about their removal. Wild is too *&$^&* fast with aggro and turn7-9 OTK. Mid-range decks cannot function, in any capacity, anymore; and that means at least 80% of all HS cards are worthless, as the first several expansions were created for a mid-range game.
When was the last time you've seen those two cards being played in a truly competitive aggro deck in wild? People like because it enables memey combos. I think you should stop watching MarkMcKz.
I have a bad feeling about this...
Why? Two words - Quest Rogue
This makes me remember the really-really quick and important Hex nerf...
Both of those decks are aggressive rogue decks. Not only is there aggro rogue rn, there are multiple variants of aggro rogue rn.
The Caverns Below goes SMOrc and I for one can’t wait to play the deck again.
I think the best news about this, and the other nerfs / buffs, is that there's now going to be a sizeable difference between Standard and Wild. Wild will have a substantially higher power rating, rather than just having more cards. Which is nice.
"My opinion matters and your opinion doesn't matter".
I'm indifferent about this change, as I see other more relevant issues with the balancing of the game.
However, this sorta comment just doesn't belong on Hearthpwn, or anywhere else.
"My opinion matters and your opinion doesn't matter"
I get that those sort of mentalities are bad. But I think he was just trynna be funny honestly, no harm no foul.
So, my comment doesn't belong anywhere, huh?
Does that mean your opinion on my comment matters, and my opinion doesn't?
There are so many news posts that seem to be nothing but positive changes to the game and people will always find a way to complain about it or say that it ruins everything for them.
The way I see it, the fact that they saw the feedback to the original change and made an adjustment to try and keep everyone happy is a great thing. But people will still find a way to make this Blizzard's next disaster. Hence, "so, shush" :)
But by all means, I am not the forum police. Post as you like. This is just my opinion. If that matters to you.
I totally agree with you dude. I've been loving these changes that Blizzard have been making.
I guess there will always be people who just hate on Blizzard even when they do good things.
It's good to be critical but sometimes we need to be fair even to those we dislike.
Half of these comments seem to be people who missed the news that these cards were being changed in the first place. They're only now understanding that the cheap charge minions are leaving standard, even though this news means they will at least live on in Wild.
I imagine there is going to be some strong minion buff mechanics coming up and charge will limit design. So probably a good thing.
Why do they hate charge? There are spells that do face damage. Charge was a great mechanic to have in standard.
Because it's a constant headache for the balance team and set designers having to worry about every single Charge minion in the meta.
Charge is incredibly OP in HS where you can just go face and threaten to do it again for free next turn unless they cast removal or present a taunt. In the situations where you can 2 attacks in with 1 Charge minion, that's almost GG for dedicated aggro/face combo decks like Hunter and Rogue because they can just race you easily from that point on, even if you establish board control for the rest of the game. Unlike games like MtG where you can block Haste creatures with anything on the board, you can only interact in HS with taunt when in race situations, making charge just OP in every phase of the game if given a critical mass of Charge minions/cheap weapons etc.
Yah too bad Aggro Rogue doesn't need Charge, they just needs to find 1 card to replace Evis with gonna be great...
what the fuck is aggro rogue? There's stealth rogue, and there's weapon rogue, but there's no aggro rogue rn
If you haven't noticed they have been consistently removing spells that can target face. The core set particularly removed many of them. It's clearly not something they want people to be counting on, and charge is pretty much the same thing.
comment section for this reversal is what we call a no-win solution
Wow they responded so quickly to the 0,1% people complaining about those 2 cards that I haven't seen played for 3 years ! Nice ! Now, what about over powered Secret Mage and coin flip Big Priest infecting the ladder for what, 4 years now ?
