A Note on Class Cards
Zeriyah has reached out to us to clarify that there is indeed two different class cards for each class, although this information is not readily available online at the moment. One of these class cards will be sourced from the class challenges. This is an update to our previous statement which said there were only going to be nine class cards in Blackrock Mountain which has now been proven false.
This also changes our previous statements on class card rarity, so they have been retracted. We may indeed see a common and a rare class card for each class, although we won't know for certain until we see all the cards.
Our apologies for the misinformation! Our BRM Guide has been updated with this new information.
Update: Ben has now confirmed publicly that each class has 1 Common and 1 Rare.
New Card Clarifications
Quote from BlizzardLava Shock
It resets your overload on the current turn, and your next turn. (Ben Brode)
It only clears mana that is currently locked or will be locked next turn. Playing Lava Shock and then playing a card with Overload will result in you still having Overload on your next turn. (Ben Brode)
So turn 10, overloaded 3, you play Doomhammer + Lava Shock. Lava Shock lets you use the 3, plus full mana next turn?
Yes. (Ben Brode)
More Blackrock Mountain Cards

Good, bad, indifferent, I like the effects these cards have. They're a bit different than what we're used to. Looking forward to giving the Warrior card a spin.
i am not a shaman fan, but... Lava shock hype!
More dwarves!!!
1 class per adventure is boring i want 2 :)
and that we shal have yay !
also to breakdown the distribution of cards its;
17 cards 1 type per boss
5 cards that are legendary per wing
9 types of card per class challege
17+9+5=31
:)
I've added links to the sources of data to our Blackrock Mountain Guide for those interested. Everything on that page has been confirmed unless otherwise specified.

An update on class cards. Zeryiah has confirmed to us that we will be getting 2 class cards per class instead of the 1. This is not actually stated on the official site though. So, your wish has been granted ;)

Cool! Thanks for the research! As much as I understand that, arena value might have caused different rarities it still would have feeled weird and unfair for those roleplayers, who want their golden class card(s) ^^
Honestly I think people are slightly overrating Lava Shock. In most cases even just having one or two mana crystals locked from overload are enough to ruin you plans to play something (especially early game), and you are just essentially paying two mana to unlock those one or two mana crystals on average which will usually still prevent you from playing what you want. This will only help against aggressive decks or if you overload more than two mana and thus helping to maintain a tempo advantage.
Edit- Welp apparently this also clears future overload for the next turn as well according to Ben Brode, so this will be even better than I thought, not sure if it will be OP, but will make for some interesting scenarios.
This is a big deal, because a lot of Shaman's late game big plays can be disrupted by Overload on turns 7/8/9. This is a huge boon in Kel-Thuzad tricks decks. I would often hang on to Overload cards to avoid disrupting a big K'T turn.
This lava shock can help a lot earth elemental... If played on curve, is a bait for BGH, thus protecting neptulon, rag or boom and breaking enemy's pace, because next turn he's playing with 2-3 mana, assuming BGH is used, which is the worst scenario (freeze and hard removal follow the same idea, since its gonna tank for other meanies). Not only the spell is going to kil the 4/2 on the board, but you still have 4 mana to do........ well, stuff.
Wow @ Lava Shock. That is a great class card. Overload was so crippling on these class cards, does this solve the issue?
I'm sure that rogue card is a class challenge too... 9 class cards, 22 neutral
There are only 9 class cards. One from each class challenge.
Sounds to me like the stuff on the official site (what you linked) might be wrong.
But there's something that I dont understand, why class cards have different rarities??
Arena balance. Definitely don't want to see too many Lava Shocks showing up!
Seems right! that means the same with the rogue card, lol, because it is huge in arena too!
well, lava shock won't affect arena at all, even with common rarity. the amount of overload cards is farily low anyway, so lava shock is a bad pick in arena
yea, http://us.battle.net/hearthstone/en/expansions-adventures/blackrock-mountain/ 2 new class cards in bm
It was confirmed that classes each are receiving one class card with Blackrock Mountain. The class card will be rewarded from the class challenge.
The reason for the difference in rarity is for arena balance.
