I don't know. It's pretty strong, obviously. But we had a few of these 5-cost-spell cards already, and most of them didn't really succeed.
Sunreaver Warmage has the same battlecry as the oh so broken Glaivebound Adept, and Garden Gnome is more reliable than Hyena Alpha. Anubisath Defender was played in Quest Druid, but not much outside of it. I don't know if this theme lacks the right spell, or if they don't contribute to a good deck, or if the theme's just not consistent enough, since you don't want to keep an expensive spell on hand, but it's strange to see all these really good cards ignored so often.
EDIT: Steel Beetle has almost the same battlecry, even.
Maybe this one will see a bit more play, just because it's good even without the battlecry.
All of them (big spell synergy cards) are meh by themselves... But when you stack enough synergy to something it becomes viable at the end.
Secret mage was a meme for 3 years then came Kobolds and made it good and now it's getting better every expansion
The statline is way, way better. Even than beetle.
This is a boatload of value if you get the heal off, not to mention you get a 4/5 Taunt even if you don't hold the spell for 4 mana. And it brings a dormant Lucentbark back. Really nice card.
It’s true that one of the things that deck struggled with was playable healing cards that took care of the important 5 healing in one shot. Sweet
Waiting for hd artwork and golden animation cuz i see cute dryad casting spells
It's up now :)
EDIT: nvm, read to fast. HD art work will have to wait xD
No problem :)
The artist, great Eva Widermann probably will upload artwork on her twitter/ Artstation portfolio soon
I believe the META will slow down next season. This card really helps against Aggro decks
What makes you say that? We got so many powerful aggro cards so far, I really don't think the meta is going to slow down, as much as I'd like it to. This card will help keep up with the new agro tools, but my bet is on there being even more aggro decks than before.
Chillwind Yeti came a long way to become this :)
I've heard hes also just became a Master Adept Sorcerer and is capable of sorting your deck.
Lol shaman finally gets a playable card, amazing design.
Still not quite enough to get shaman out of dumpster tier, but it’s a start. Some really balanced cards in SA for shaman so far while other classes are getting OP broken cards.
Disagreed, Shaman got some real powerhouses this time around, and we still have most of the set yet to see. Shaman just needs a few tools to be viable, and I think this card is definitely a good tool.
insane card POG
this is gonna activate heal druid shenanigans (Lucentbark, crystal stags)
Definitely a good card for the Lucentbark deck, but unfortunately there are so many silence effects that it's really hard to make Lucentbark work. I wouldn't bet on the deck being even close to viable.
you dont need to run lucentbark, you can run in quest druid with Crystal Stags and Survival of the Fittest for 5 mana 2×8/8 rush
imagin it haa a beast tag
