Step 1 - Play Hakkar, the Soulflayer and both player get Corrupted Blood
Step 2 - Play Lorekeeper Polkelt
Step 3 - Play Mischief Maker
Step 4 - Profit?
............. Nevermind... Highest to the lowest... so Corrupted Blood wouldn't be on top...
that will not work since Corrupted Blood will be at the bottom of your deck after playing Lorekeeper Polkelt not the top..
I don't understand this card at all and I love it xD
It's easy. When you play this card he puts the highest cost cards at the top of your deck and the lowest cost cards at the bottom.
So it'll look 10 cost 9 cost 8 cost 7 cost 6 cost etc. In the order you'd draw them in.
a lot of people complaining about Glide on turn 4. Why would a DH player hold Glide and then play it on turn 4? I guess if they thought they were playing against quest warlock but seems very situational. I think DH rather play as many minions through turn 4 as possible.
I think Glide becomes a much more situational card in a slower DH deck. If this is the case, you probably rather play vs the slower DH deck and face Glide then against tempo DH which is trying to just smorc you down as fast as possible.
Simple, they keep it if their hand is cheap enough. Vomit your hand on turns 1-3, turn 4 refill your hand while crippling the control opponent forever. Very easy for any aggro DH to do.
Even Face Hunter decks, full of 1-3cost insta damage cards, rarely benefited from Quick Shot. If it's so easy to empty your hand as DH, then why is Altruis being kicked out of the competitive decklists?
Dude have you ever played against Divine Favor? Glide works EXACTLY like it, only Glide is much stronger cuz it isnt completely dead in the aggro mirror (just play it w/o outcast to get a better hand). It should be super easy to evaluate how strong Glide is if you've seen DF in action, not sure why you dont get it.
Let's make it clear. Let's say both Divine Favor and Glide are unplayable vs aggro, because 4 mana 2 draw is completely idiotic and can't be a reason to use it instead of Spectral Sight. Do you get it here?
Now, the gap between 3 mana and 4 mana is huge, not only because giving your opponent 1 turn could result in defeat but also because the cheaper the card is, the easier it is to play other cards in your hand.
Drawing 3 cards with Divine Favor is not good enough. We call it great when we drew 4 or more cards with Divine Favor. In other words, the minimum output of Divine Favor is 4 cards. But you can only draw 4 cards with Glide, even when you had satisfied the empty hand condition. That's the maximum output of Glide. 4 cards.
More importantly, Divine Favor was the ONLY card draw option for Paladin at that time. Even if Divine Favor was garbage, they would've used it. Do you think DH really requires cards like Glide instead of Skull of Guldan, Spectral Sight, Chaotic Strike, Crimson Sigil Runner? DH only use Skull of Guldan and the reason is that that's more than enough.
Does that explain why Divine Favor is important to Paladine while Glide is not to DH?
Divine Favor does nothing in the mirror, while Glide still gives you 2-3 cards, thats one hell of an improvement already. drawing 3 cards and killing 3+ cards from your opponents hand is way, WAAAAAY stronger than drawing 6+ cards if you're aggro, specially when DH has other cheap draw options at their disposal.
Spectral Sight is better against aggro sure, but Glide is an auto-win against a lot of decks, id take that broken upside over SS anyday.
Divine Favor might not do anything in the mirror, but it doesn't benefit your opponent as well. Glide will refill your hand in the mirror, but it has the risk of doing the same for your opponent. So I would say that's equivalent and meaningless at this point.
Also, for hours, I've been telling you that DH wasting 4 mana is a bigger chance for control decks than the danger of having a swapped hand, and you don't listen. Insisting the Glide-will-define-meta thing over and over. I'm getting tired.
Maybe cuz you dont think having the same hand size as the aggro opponent is omega crippling to the control player, but oh well, lets agree to disagree then.
I do play control decks. I do try to match the speed with my opponent aggro player. I do try to play something when my opponents do. Not all control decks auto-press Hero Power every turn, they also have cards to play. Maybe the control warrior with Shield Slam and Elise in the past would do, but not now.
Lorekeeper Polkelt + The Dark Portal = 4 mana Malygos or Alexstrasza
you can do the same without Polkelt
I guess he is implying that The Dark Portal picks the first minion from the deck and not a random one. Since, to my knowledge, we had no way of knowing the deck order till now, none can be sure if the The Dark Portal works that way (programmatically). It might be an interesting experiment..
Am I the only one thinking of playing this card after the Hesitbaron Togwaggle treasure or Rogue Galakrond?
You can do a Rogue Malygos deck.
Galakrond costs 7 so you need another cost reduction to work in a single turn but man the treasure that draws 3 works wonder with this
this + Holy Wrath is turn 9 lethal no need to draw your entire deck shit
Quest warlock can tutor 0 cost Mech'thun if not in hand already
Very interesting card
Quest warlock loves this
