Actually, I predict that we will see most of those cards, with the possible exception of the Naga, in a single brutal midrange deck that stacks face damage through Priestess, Antaen, and Adept, Remember, Antaen and Priestess hit their face if they don't have minions, so this will rapidly chip down a lot of threats (ie. not priest, warrior or druid).
These DH cards are oppressive as fuck, at least most of them are pretty Nuts.
should have been a murloc!!! dam them!!!
Poor Cairne Bloodhoof. He just got pawned big time.
Let's play N'Zoth Demon Hunter in Wild ;)
Jeez. They do seem to give DH the whole package.
Early aggression, midrange stuff, control tools to survive to late game, strong card draw and really strong late game stuff. They only lack an OTK of some sort.
No OTK? what about the weapon that attacks 4 times on play, buffs on attack and ignore taunts
Wrathscale Naga looks like an otk :)
The weapon can only attack face once per turn, as it only gets extra attacks when attacking minions, the legendary only has 3 attack of his own, and having an already established board is not how you OTK. This is not to say DH looks weak. It looks like it's going to be a power house. But pure from hand burst damage does not seem to be it's strong suit. Which I'm glad for.
Naga could lead to some clutch OTKs by filling the board with rushes, but they need to die. Meaning actually getting the damage to face is going to be a lot harder than you think. Your opponent needs to have enough on the board for you to kill your guys off, while also getting her damage to go face. Naga is more likely going to be a powerful control tool.
It's almost as of they want them to be able to play different decks
Read the card.
Could be. I think it will be hard to pull off in standard but I guess you can do something with it in wild but I think it's too complicated. As Crawyer said it requires a board from the opponent, it requires that the damage goes to face but you have to have a way to kill off your minions. I am sure there will be a highlight but I doubt it will be a consistent combo.
Sure and that is fair. Usually classes have strengths and weaknesses when it comes to different types of decks. E.g. Priest is pretty strong late game but lacks early game, other classes are strong early and gets weaker late game. DH seems to have the whole package: strong early, mid and late game - and tools to support each archtype. Time will show how strong the different decks will be but looking at the power level of the card it seems that it will be an allround strong class without any big weaknesses in the early/mid and late game.
Oh come on. I can understand giving the new class good new tools like Coilfang Warlord, Wrathscale Naga, Kayn Sunfury, Glaivebound Adept, Imprisoned Antaen, and Priestess of Fury, but giving them ALL of these tools to be used at once is absolutely absurd. This creates the core for an obscenely powerful face deck that mandates non-heal classes race it to death while controlling classes go super-grindy.
This card alone is approaching Omega Devastator levels of value.
"Yoooooo~oooooo"
Warlord Attac
Then
Warlord Protec
OK, so DH and Hunters are getting all the Over the Top Power cards, all the other classes are gonna be clearly left behind late game.
And we thought DH is gonna be the Smorc class that runs out of Steam, pfff truth is they get the BEST of all worlds! This is not a Demon though, but it will be hilarious with cards like Jepetto Joybuzz that I already plan to include in my control'ish DH deck because of all the insane effects of DH minions.
DH Meta Incoming.
With all due respect, how can Paladin, the new Archetype and even Pure Paladin compare to this endless stream of OP Cards? After seeing all of these, they must be printing a tech card to take care of these giant minions or its impossible!
Psst. Big Game Hunter for ya.
Well that's gonna get nerfed... and I hope they do it fast, maybe without Rush it would be balanced, but now it's just op.
I dunno folks, I think expensive cards SHOULD be powerful. I don't mind the direction. Gotta give every class good top end cards to balance obviously.
People are just nervous because of all the powerful tools DH is getting. They're not thinking of how to actually make the decks, which is why I've seen discussions of how broken DH is going to be, lumping in it's aggro tools with it's control tools. Those parts are not going to be in the same deck. But it does look like DH can be powerful in multiple different playstyles, which is why it's gathering a lot of attention and calls of OP. I'm going to wait to see what the decks themselves will look like. (though I am expecting DH to have more than a couple of top tier decks).
