This card is at the very least solid. People seem to forget how valuable divine shield is in combination with a buff. Seal of champions was played and it costed 2 more mana than blessing of might for only a divine shield. Going from 1 cost to 3 is way worse then 4 cost to 6.
It's not 5 mana because, remember, Baku the Mooneater still exists in Wild, and it's causing a lot of problems in the form of odd paladin.
So yeah, better delete Gen and Baku one and for all, they are not fair to play against and they force blizz to print weird costed cards to play around even and odd.
There is better buffs for that deck, in wild there are better aggro than odd paladin, but blizzard it does not pay attention to the cards for those classes, if it is played it is just because the wild is a big priest, there is only be aggro in wild! (but it certainly can't be considered broken in the wild ... not with everything that turns there ... the only really broken deck is big priest in wilde!
People shouldn't complain about decent decks, but broken decks, do this and changes the meta otherwise it's just a "cause / effect"
This card should have been 5 mana. It feels like they always round up when they are figuring out the cost of a paladin card.
Big pala
I would be very curious how they arrived at a 6 cost for this card. Even at 4 or 5 it's barely playable and that's sad because it's something paladin could use long term. Instead of Divine shield how about putting reborn on the minion?
Barely playable at 4? It's strictly better Blessing of Kings if it costs 4, and Blessing of Kings certainly has seen play in just about every aggro paladin- besides odd paladin of course. At 5, in wild it's crazy broken because it gives odd paladin access to Blessing of Kings, and thus, 6 mana. It really should cost 5, but Genn and Baku are dumb, and shouldn't exist.
I don't think this should even cost 5. Stats + Divine shield that are immediately usable are good, see Zilliax, see even Argent commander that sometimes comes back into viability. Paladin is the class of having minions around looking to carry buffs, and this is a big payoff. Remember we're rolling into reborn set, having something to stick this on isn't going to be difficult and it's easy to get a great trade and then force further trades from the taunt.
On 6 if this is your play it's a losing play unless you are in a commanding position. In which case it's just more win and not really anything that helps swing a board. Steed was good because it provided a body to the board after trade. High cost buffs like this need to have very huge impacts on the board or they aren't worth just playing a minion.
if this was an 5 mana card it would be really good, at 6 mana its meh...id say blessing of kinds is better. But i can see a few decks running both blessing of kings and this card
Spirit of the Tiger
Looks juicy.
I wouldnt be upset with this card having a 5 mana cost to be honest. Even in Arena you’re never gonna pick this over steed.
Worse than the +2/+6 steed
Please kids dont be hurt by the truth
are u stupid, commenting the same thing in every card or what???
He is just missing the steed.Relax
the +2/+6 steed was insane so if they dropped the power level of it by making this card then this is decent
It looks worse than Blessing of Kings I think. If Immortal Prelate become a thing it may see some play, but this is a bit expensive. And spikridge steed was much better.
now let's see: 4 mana +4+4, 1 mana divine shield, 1mana taunt. it's a fair card in a broken expansion (warlock card 3 mana summon 3/3 and 5/5, shaman card 3 mana hex all minion, warrior 1Mana +2+2 etc.)
why 6 mana?
