As always, the problem is the Rogue mirror match when all these cards would be pretty base level. It's pretty good in any other context, but Blizzard should go back to all burgle effects and make them like Hench Clan Burglar and then it'd actually be a deck that's not only fun, but competitive.
especially as a 2 drop that becomes a problem. there are no 1 mana steal from random class. If there were this card would be fucking busted. 2 mana 3 4 rush? wth.
Until you run into the mirror of another net deck Burgle Rogue. Say hi to your River Crocolisk.
Turn 1 Hallucination, Turn 2 a 3/4 with rush. Hallucination rotated out btw, and wild can also use Swashburglar.
Hallucination is rotating out, but this is still an extremely good card.
Es por eso que agregar Pilfer al conjunto clásico
Sexy card! Blizzard is hardly pushing thief rogue and this card is just a pinnacle of it. Really nice vanilla stats without condition and if you meet the condition you have pretty nasty 3/4 rush for 2 mana. What's more rogue likes tempo and this card offers it all around. 9/10
Excuse me ser, it's Burgle Rogue.
Pirate rogue in Wild is going to be really strong, with Swash into Patches into this to kill whatever they play on 1/2 INSTEAD of daggering.
In standard this is tempered a little bit since Prince Keleseth is gone and other regular tempo rogue plays like coin Vilespine will no longer be possible, but I do still see this as a really strong card. A 2 mana 3/4 that probably kills whatever it attacks and lives.
I love how they are pushing this new archetypes.
This will be pretty good in Wild with certain decks. Reminds me of Alexstrasza's Champion, that +1 health will be a big deal in the early game.
Yeah, that's my point. People are saying this card will break the meta, but the only way it will do that is if Burgle Rogue is great, and I really don't see a reason to believe that's going to happen
I may be wrong, but I am really concerned about this card. The tempo push is huge and it feels really unfairly stated. No swash or patches, but still very scary.
I wouldn't worry about it, this card is balanced by the fact that it's now incredibly hard to get a card from another class before turn 2 (in standard - the only option is Pilfer), and even if you do, you have to play whatever generates it on turn 1. Usually the earlier this will drop is on turn 4, after Blink Fox on 3 and on turn 4 this is only good (and it is really good), not broken. It has the flexibility of being played on 2 mana as a 2/3 which is good, and it's a good tempo play for burgle rogue on 4, which is what they've always needed to be viable, so I have high hopes on this card making the archetype viable without being overpowered.
Damn they are REALLY pushing the pilfer Rogue deck.. :/ I miss stuff like the OG tempo Maly Rogue from back before the wild/standard split.
Fuck me, the turn two combo with Pilfer played turn one is going to be really fucking tough.
3/4 for 3 is good.
3/4 for 2 is broken.
3/4 with Rush for 2 is beyond broken and needs nerfing before its even released.
Well TGT gave warrior a 2 mana 3/3 with charge and an easier condition to satisfy on turn 2 (Alexstrasza's Champion), and no one really complained. Why? Because it was a dragon deck, and wasn't given complete freedom to build a deck to break it.
The same applies here. Yes a 2 mana 3/4 with rush is beyond broken, but you can only use it reliably if a significant part of the deck is value focused. It may lead to a tempo-burgle hybrid (which is already possible in Wild), the power of which is difficult to comment on, but certainly it won't break the game in the traditional slow burgle decks.
99% of the time it won't be played buffed on turn 2, and when played on turn 4, which I suspect will be the earliest it comes down (after Blink Fox on 3), it's only a really good play, not "beyond broken" as you put it.
It's definitely a very good card, it's got the versatility of being played on 2 as a 2/3 or held for the increased stats, and it's a good card for an archetype that really needs good tempo cards.
I think it'll be fine.
This could be run in Pirate Aggro Rogue as well to help control the board so other minions can face. Turn 1 Swashburglar into this card value trading there own 2 drop will immediately have them on their heels.
Am speaking in Wild of course.
