Could somebody give me clarification whether or not Corrupted Blood can repeatedly draw itself until it kills the opponent?
Since it casts when drawn, then shuffles two copies into your deck... Probably not?
It cannot. Reading the card explains the card. "After you draw, shuffle 2 copies of this into your deck."
Not clear atm. If you draw blood as the last card in your deck, it would deal damage, try to draw (causing 1 fatigue damage) then shuffle two copies, so it's not going to infinitely regress there. What's not clear is how it will handle drawing itself. If it deals damage, draws itself, then shuffles the copies before processing the next Corrupted Blood, it will be able to regress. If the next corrupted blood interrupts this cycle or if it resolves all of the corrupted bloods before shuffling, it won't.
The other comments are wrong. Yes, it can cast itself until it kills you or your opponent. However, it cannot happen the first time you draw Corrupted Blood
Shudderwock & Hakkar time boys! Just add Hemet and you have no problem...
It's a deathrattle. Shudderwock is irrelevant.
Hakkar has deathrattle, not Battlecry
Since when does Shudderwock copy deathrattles?
Omg, so weak neutral legendaries in this expansion.
Guys hold on to something.
DRUIDSTONE
How?Also this xpac?
U play this innervate naturalize and than with your 999 armor and 20k taunts you just wait for ur opponent to die.Ez
People are missing that this does not draw another card when drawn. It's 3 damage + a dead draw. It's actually BETTER than fatigue after 3 turns of fatigue as you only lose 3 health per turn instead of increasing each turn.
It's obviously meant to counter combo decks since you're diluting their deck with bad cards and dead draws. But there's a pretty big problem:
1. It's a total dead card against any other deck other than combo
2. If you need to tech in this card to counter combo decks, most likely you are a control deck in which case you too are drawing your deck, and you too will be drawing dead cards and taking damage.
I love the idea behind the card, but the mirror-ness of the card, and the prohibitive cost as a tech card, means it won't see play at all. Too bad, because a tech card against combo for control is something we (or I) need.
Cast When Drawn is a keyword that basically reads "activate the ability on the card then draw another card", so it doesn't really mitigate fatigue and possibly just kills the player player if there is only two copies of it in hte deck.
Have you actually played any Hearthstone recently? Or did you just ignore the Cast when Drawn keyword?
It'd be interesting if OTK decks didn't exist in the high tiers...
I could see this in some kind of grinder OTK control deck, where you use Hemet to remove the blood from your own deck and then just keep yourself alive and watch your opponent suffer (DMH warrior?).
This can also punish Kingsbane and maricle decks in general.
The question is how do you use this against your opponent and save yourself. What I don't like is the effect is on a high cost slow body, I'd would've liked to see this on a 3/4 mana vanilla minion to get the Blood cycling early. It feels on face value like the effect is too slow.
If you start the cycle later in the game though, your opponent is more likely to draw the blood. Perhaps the strategy is not to remove the card from your deck but lower the odds of drawing it by consistently putting more cards in your deck? Maybe Archbishop Benedictus right before playing this?
A lot of people made cards like this. When i googled for an image for my card submission
Fucking deadly ass finisher for odd warrior.
*thought it said 9 mana, my bad*
If only odd warrior could run it xd
