PCGamer Leaks Expansion Information - Rastakhan's Rumble
So, PCGamer dun goofed thanks to a reddit post from JamieFTW. Some details on the new Hearthstone expansion have been revealed thanks to copy pasted text in an article that has no relevance to Hearthstone!
Meanwhile, they will continue to get card reveals from Blizzard. Awesome!
Quote from PCGamerOnce every generation, Azeroth's Troll tribes come together to compete for the blessings of the Loa and the favor of King Rastakhan. The no-holds-barred battle forms the basis for Rastakhan's Rumble, the next Hearthstone expansion, which was just revealed today as part of the BlizzCon opening ceremony.
Nine teams will take part in the latest iteration of this time-honored Troll-down, each led by a Legendary Troll Champion representing one of the Hearthstone classes. The Loa, ancient spirits worshipped by the Trolls, will also take part in the fighting as Legendary minions. Shirvallah the Tiger is the Paladin Loa, which costs a cool 25-Mana to cast. You can reduce that outlay by casting spells, but even so it seems like a restrictive price for an effect that's probably only going to be good in incredibly slow control decks.

I was really hoping it would be a Fal'dorei expansion. Saying good-bye to 10 dollars now.
WOW
OK
Those are some nice cards
I'm hype now thanks for the downvotes buhbye
Dude i am sorry , but if you really think that witchwood was great ; you are out of your mind.
Sure, lets go opinions - why you think so?
...
On second thought, Shudderwock was a really big problem. I see your point. But everything else was awesome though! Once they fixed him, the game was great.
Any other problems, if I'm missing anything?
There couple of reasons why , but if i have to say what i was hating the most ; first of all Witchwood was the first expansion of the year.So you want that expansion to be neet , something fresh and good.Witchwood really didnt gave that feeling to anyone. The witchwood cards didnt even saw play in most of decks. Most of the meta cards were just the old classic cards. And the new mechanic , echo ; that didnt even saw play either.
These are the reasons why i didnt liked witchwood expansion. It just didnt felt right.Like you can just understand how bad the expansion was by looking which cards they nerfed. They nerfed the old classic cards because witchwood cards were just sucking. The Odd decks were out of control and dont even make me talk about shudder. That shit was out of control and what they did was basicly buffing it by nerfing it.As a control player , witchwood was just straight ahead out of control.
My Counterargument:
"The witchwood cards didnt even saw play in most of decks."
The Witchwood cards were totally used! Sure, like half the cards were fillers but compared to Kobolds and Catacombs and Boomsday Project it's pretty much the same. You also gotta give the designers some credit - they had to fit in tons of new archetypes without making them too choicy.
"And the new mechanic , echo ; that didnt even saw play either."
Echo did actually see a little more play than you probably think, but I don't think it was meant to be used as a new archetype yet. It could be used for some pretty darn-cool cards in the future, and I think it will be used again. Plus there was more than one new mechanic - Rush saw tons of play.
"The Odd decks were out of control"
That's true. They were aggro.
badum badum pssh
"They nerfed the old classic cards because witchwood cards were just sucking."
no u
They didn't nerf any Classic cards during the Witchwood.
Except Shudderwock. He was a CLASSIC
badum badum PSHH

25 mana card? 15 mana in spells to throw just to play shirvallah? This card won't see play.
It says mana spent
Score. I've been hoping for trolls for years now.
Of course we wouldn't get a Pirate expansion. Blizzard why do you hate my dreams?
I owuld like to see it, bould make slow pirates to break the smorc meme that pirates are
my friend: OH BOY GIANT PARROT AND PIRATE CAP , MAYBE SOME SORT OF DEADMINE EXPANSION OR , OR ...
me:
Degenerate Holy Wrath Bakudin incoming.
Completely 150% agree I've been saying this ever since Un'goro. was really pleased with Frozen throne then it went right back to the weird expansions. I'm really looking forward to an expansion like this.
Great theme. I much prefer expansions like this that tap into an established vein of Warcraft lore, as opposed to random made up ones like Boomsday Project.
I'm thinking about buff paladin. If this card gives you enough of an incentive to play cards such as Sound the Bells
That 25 mana card is odd! Big Bakudin confirmed!
