if mechs are good, this will be bad
if mechs are bad, this will be good
Must be fun against a mirror mech xD
Possibly will see constructed play as others have pointed out but if not you'll still be seeing it from Omega Assembly and Dr. Boom, Mad Genius often enough.
It's a nice card and all... but we are all just gonna ignore the fact that this is basically a gunman from ttgl ?
Wild
Cinderstorm has seen play as a 3 mana deal 5, so if your whole board is mechs, you're getting a very similar effect on Dyn-o-matic for only 2 mana along side a 3 mana 3/4. It's not quite as good, since it can't go face, but it could still be a viable tool for board control if you're running lots of mechs. It's probably good to discover from Dr. Boom, Mad Genius, as it becomes 5 mana deal 8.
The fact that it can't go face is pretty good. How often have you played Arcane Missiles hoping to clear their board, but those pesky missiles go face instead (especially common in arena). This guarentees that the points of damage go towards board control, which is likely more valuable for mech warrior.
Yeah, I agree that it's probably better for Warrior that it can't go face - there's a lot more control over how the random damage is dealt, and Warrior has synergies with effects that chip away at enemy minions. My point in remarking about going face was made because the damage is that Cinderstorm saw regular play as a cheap way to burn out your opponent, and you'll never get that with Dyn-o-matic. In other words, despite the similarity, your deck will have to be meaningfully different strategically speaking from the Mage decks that leveraged the effect.
I guess it's ok. People are expecting more mech in the meta than there will be imo, Only 3 classes are actually getting enough mechs to build a deck around it, and the rest of the classes are only getting a few mechs, which aren't confirmed to be viable either. So, it'd have to be a suddenly very mech based meta with Hunter, Paladin and Warrior for some reason all holding tier 1 decks to make this bad. Otherwise, it's mostly good in warrior. Doesn't mean it will be run, definitely no magnetic synergy here, 5 mana +3/4 is a terrible deal.
AGAIN though, excellent card for Dr Boom to discover in his hero power. Sometimes in his Omega card too.
Seems really kinda good, provided there aren't too many mech-only decks. Even against mostly-mech decks, when the opponent has only one or two non-mech minions, the 5-damage will seek them out. Things like this--where the randomness is mostly controlled--tend to be quite strong. It's really potent that this card can't go face with the random damage.
If the play quote isn't "Dyn-0-mite" I'll be disappointed.
Combine this with dr. Boom hero card and you have 8 damage removal, considering that this card will have rush.
Good card IMO
Sometimes it is just enemies. Ànd sometimes you draw 3 with Acolyte of Pain
I haven't even considered that, having no non-mech minions in your deck other than Acolyte of Pain could really come in handy, when it's turn 8 and you still haven't drawn your Dr. Boom, Mad Genius...
Good for Warrior Mech decks only and bad against other mech decks. If warrior isn't the only class using mechs when the new meta shapes itself then this will be mostly situational. Good in some matches and not as good in others. But it is playable.
Solid card. Even if doesn’t specifically put in the deck it is a good discover for warrior
As long as the enemy isn't a Mech-Deck, this card is pretty good – 5 Mana deal 5 damage and a spider tank body is pretty good~
( One downside is this card is really only playable in mech deck.)
Even a mech deck probably won't run more than 50% mechs. No different from dragon decks running 8-10 dragons on average.
Really good card can be used to remove small minions of aggro or proc your executes and damage effects.
But, with this card you can damage your own minions, you just cant damage your own mechs, so you could build a very storg synergy with this :)
