Managing the Collection Manager - The Hearthstone Team Has Tips For You!
Stop being a noob! Today you'll learn how to use Hearthstone's collection manager brought to you by Blizzard.
Quote from Jesse HillNavigating the Collection Manager is now easier than ever! Looking for that specific 4-cost minion to pair with your Oaken Summons Druid deck? Trying to recall the name of the Deathrattle minion your friend keeps beating you with? Even if you just want to sit back and admire the shine of all the golden cards you have amassed, just enter these keywords into the search window and you’ll be piloting your collection like a pro.
The Collection Manager search feature allows players to look through their collection in ways that best fit their needs. Allowing you to specify and narrow down to what you are exactly looking for, these search functions will help to make sure you are always finding the right card for your specific situation.

Keyword Search Tags
- <Golden>
Only shows those awesome golden cards you own.
- Mana:<even/odd>
As players who have built decks with Genn Greymane or Baku the Mooneater may have noticed, this command will filter your deck to only show cards that are even or odd cost.
- Artist:<Name>
Show cards that feature work from the specified artist. You can include full name or just first or last.
- Missing
Show all cards that you are missing. This works much like when entering [Crafting]mode. However, this command will also show you cards that have a deck limit of two, but you only own one of.
- Extra
This command will show you all cards that you own that exceed deck limits.
- New
Filters cards that are tagged as “New”. Very handy after opening packs!
- Rarity:<Type>
This command will show you all cards of the specified rarity. Card rarities in Hearthstone are Common, Rare, Epic and Legend.
- Type:<type>
Show all cards of the specified type. The different types of cards in Hearthstone are spell, minion, weapon and hero.
- Has:<word>
This will filter your collection to only show cards that contain a specific word, phrase or combination of letters. For example, has:rav will show you all cards with those three letters in that order.
Searches can be combined as well! For example, if you wanted to find each Golden minion with 3-attack, you can use the example below to show each of your cards that meet this critiria.
With these keywords and search functions, managing your cards has never been easier. So, crack open that collection and search in style!
Type in golden, and hit crafting. Unless you hit the only shown golden cards it will show you all your non basic golden cards
Good that they are raising awareness about this feature, it's been there for at least 2 years, but few people know about it.
I use "new", "missing", and "extra" operators all the time, very usefull, highly recommended.
I believe you could also use operators like <, > and =. For example Attack:<=3
I think for < and > operators they require + and - such as Attack:3+.
Oh my god, "extra"! You sir saved my life disenchanting non golden cards. Thank you!
Damn, didn't know about the "has" command! Neat!
Yes, that's what I do right now. But "extra" also has me shift through pages upon pages of "two normal and one gold", since I typically don't dust the normals until I get the second golden (so I can play a matched pair). So every time I open a new pack I need to go through that song and dance to see if I have any new normals to dust that auto didn't handle...
That usefull, but why can't we have those same infos in an "Help" menu directly built into HS itself? Why Team 5 always miss the spot even when doing nice and good things like this? Can't they understand that giving informations in-game is better that giving them on an external source (or not giving them at all)?
You can't remember complicated names like Y'Shaarj, Rage Unbound? Here's the solution: Craft it several times and search it with Owned:# (just watch out if you click "disenchant all" afterwards)
extra shows you those cards
Still wish there were some things you'd be able to do, like for example "show me all cards where I have more than the deck limit, and at least <deck limit> of them are golden" so I can easily dust the regulars when I get a second gold. First world problem, I know...
also you can use ranges for those filters. For instance "owned:3+" will show all cards you own three or more copies "attack:2-4" will show only cards with 2,3,4 attack e t. c.
Its all good, but why they cant make more search buttons? I mean, right now you can do "Mana:#" by just pressing mana bar below. And this it the most useful search tool we all use, i'm sure. Not because it is the most accurate, but because it's faster then typing. And typing from phone is even worse. They definitely should add same buttons at least for Rarity and Type. Also would be good to have it for Golden, Extra and Tribe.
That is very helpful.
But you know what would be even more helpful: Having that informatiom when I actually need it. For example ingame with a help button. Else people will forget anyways.
I totally agree
yep, it's ridiculous that there isn't such a button and you have to go to google to actually find this info, simple "?" button, or a symbol at the far end of the text field that you need to just hover over would be such a big help
Deck Tracker has these useful tool tips that you describe, as well as many other useful features (damage counter may be my favorite, saves a lot of time doing maths).
I agree it would be nice to have in game, but at least it's something.
My search bar is kinda messed up. When I do a search for e.g. golden cards it shows them. However, if I do a second search for Millhouse Manastorm the screen still shows the golden cards. So I have to go back to the main menu, open 'My collection' and search for Millhouse Manastorm to confirm I have him.
dude watch out for the FBI, they're coming
Arthas doesn't say "For Justice!" when he attacks, that's Uther.
Deck name should be "Evil will be purged!"
*must be purged
