Chakki Leaves Competitive Hearthstone and Joins the Final Design Team at Blizzard
Tempo Storm's Hearthstone Coach, Keaton "Chakki" Gill, has left the team to pursue a final design team opportunity at Blizzard.
Chakki got his start in competitive Hearthstone back in 2014 playing under the ManaGrind banner and later joining teams such as Dignitas and Luminosity. Most recently, Chakki participated in the HCT Toronto event and took 9th place in the tournament. Over the years he has remained consistently at the top placements at events and has been an outspoken member of the community when it comes to game balance and building great decks. His meme game has also been extremely on point and that better not change.
Do the community proud, Chakki! You can read Tempo Storm's statement here.
Quote from ChakkiStarting next month, I'll be working at Blizzard as a game designer on the Hearthstone final design team. Hearthstone has been a huge part of my life for the past few years, and I couldn't be more excited to be a part of the team.
He will bring us the strongest aggro decks ever. That’s what he was famous for.
Finaly some good talent joins the team!
Didn't he make an account named Yogglover69? Or something like that?
I wonder why they havent asked Trump to join the team...
hm...
Trump is an idiot and dosen't know what the hell he's talking about. We allready knew that a long time ago.
Kind of why I only watch Kripp and Kibler reviews.
Kripp judges based on Arena most often, which is probably harder to do now. Kibler is a will see play to little play.
Though Trump is probably one of a few that reviews his initial reviews; and one time reviewed a review of a review.
he's an artist
You joke but his recent Witchwood was pretty accurate.
He already made his money might as well get more attention
First change: Remove rush and return charge lul
Chakki was the guy that took one hour to realize how absurd Corridor Creeper was, then he won trinity series with a corridor creeper lineup.
This is VERY good news, and a great addition to HS devs.
He also thought Dr Boom was terrible, but so did several streamers.
Obligatory "X was wrong about Dr. BOOM" when every single streamer/youtuber said that. Shut up already
Toast makes waaaaaaaay more money streaming than he ever would as a design guy.
I am a rank 10-5 player at best with limited mathematical capability and a fondness for using spellcheck. I do not want a 6 figure salary but i will take a tenner for never voicing my opinions in public ever again.
C'mon Ben, gimme that tenner....
If it's 80% RNG, then how do the same people come out on top in tournaments over and over again? This is the most tired and demonstrably incorrect criticism.
@Hearthole: You just proved my point for me. If hard work and experience pay off in this game, then the game can't possibly be "80% RNG." No amount of practice can improve your RNG results.
So thanks for bolstering my argument!
