New Details on The Witchwood's Monster Hunt - Cannoneer, Time-Tinker, Hagatha
Shacknews sat down with Ben Brode this weekend at PAX East to talk about Witchwood. Here's the new stuff we learned!
- Cannoneer starts with a Cannon on board which is fired via Hero Power. It blasts targets across from it - positioning yay!
- Time-Tinker's final boss fight is herself from the future.
- Clearing Monster Hunt with all four classes makes them all join forces against Hagatha, the ultimate boss.
Ben Brode also said he thinks Cubelock may continue to be strong and if it's too strong, it may need to be nerfed. Also, there's a Shaman card coming which players will "lose their minds about".
Every TCG: you can't discard the cards--> you can't play the card
Hearthstone: you can't discard the cards--> you can play the card and you take an advantage by emptying your hand
Every (Or at least most) TCG: The discarded card is optional
Hearthstone: The discarded card is randomly chosen, with you having no way of controlling it.
Because Hearthstone. xD
That s not true. For example, Terrible Deal, from Yugioh.
I see all the salty Cubelock players throwing down votes at my post. Whats wrong? Nothing without your broken mechanic?
The fact they know Cubelock will continue be strong it means there wont be a significant card that will stop or deny them.
And if they know that I hope the nerf faster than it should.
Play cubelock or stop playong hearthstone. Im really exausted, never been so sad about playing ladder.
Or, you know, counter them (and lose to everything else of course)

Last time nerfs were pretty quick though. Arena hotfix too.
"Last time nerfs were pretty quick"
Which nerfs are you talking about? The Patches nerf which came over a year after he released? Or are we giving them credit for only taking 2 months to fix Bonemare and Corridor Creeper, 2 cards which were so ridiculous damn near every deck in the game ran them?
Expansion comes April 12 !!!
I'm not in the mood of watching the whole video, can anyone tell me the exact time he talks about the shaman legendary?
Name a standard card for Cubelock that can fill the void N'Zoth leaves in the deck (DK doesn't count cuz it's auto-include and Lich/Umbra don't even come close lol). I'll wait.
If the leaks are legit, then the Shaman 9 mana legendary is op as fuck!
The shaman card everyone will lose their mind over is a 9 mana 4/5 that reads "Start of game: All of your cards are considered to be both even and odd."
yeah, who cares about healthy start? let's test new year decks versus overvalue cubelock
So obviously they’re waiting for time to pass after the rotation to see which cards need nerfs, that’s acceptable. I’ll wait with my extra Spiteful Summoners, Dark Pacts, Lackeys, and Call to Arms for one of them to inevitably be nerfed.
