It does make sense to "main" a class as in, always craft all good cards for that class first, then go for the other classes.
I'm so glad they made it 5 mana so you can't summon it from Oaken Summons. Bewitched Guardian will probably be a auto-include in Control Druid.
Other card not so sure, might be good?
If you pulled it with Oaken Summons it'd be a 4/1 taunt the health boost is a battle cry
That's the point... They're saying it's a good thing that Oaken Summons can't pull it, because it would be terrible when summoned.
Which is why they're glad it's not pullable by oaken
So twilight drake with taunt for 1 mana more, if hand druid is a thing this will probably see play.
Isn't it crazy how much better druid is at gaining armor, compared to warrior?
Druid is one of the tank classes in WoW so it makes sense he is good at gaining armor.
and yet he can do absolutely nothing with it
it is not better than warrior armorsmith is better than any tool any class has regarding armor
A 4/10 taunt on 5 would be busted...hand Druid is looking very interesting, I’m sad there’s no recruit Druid support this time around...at least not yet anyway. The remaining cards might have some good 4 drops
Firebat was right all along.
Yeah! The only difference, he said it could be a hand-even-druid deck, so both cards can not be used in he's prediction. But yeah, he was right about Hand Druid. Let's see!
Hand druid looks like an OK deck, not even close to the Jade power but I think that's ok, with the rotation is better this way because the classes grow stronger with each expansion.
I'm not convinced taunt is worth enough to justify the extra mana between Bewitched Guardian and Twilight Drake. There might be a meta game where having taunt is actually very useful, and maybe you'd just run both to have lots of 4/8's in the midgame, but as a standalone card it doesn't seem to compare all that impressively.
Ferocious Howl isn't all that compelling either - if you have 8 cards in hand when you play it, it's a less flexible Feral Rage. Sure, you get a little cycle out of it, but Druid has plenty of card draw and armor gain already.
Taunt vs non taunt is all the difference in the world lol...Otherwise the old handlock wouldnt run sunfury protector and defender of argus.
@DemonicPlushie, I know Feral Rage is rotating out, but recently it hasn't seen any play in Druid because it's outclassed by other armor gain tools. I wouldn't expect a "new Feral Rage" to take its place because it has no place right now.
@SinAscendant, As a standalone card, Shield Block is actually kind of weak. Gaining 5 armor is worth about 1 mana (see Iron Hide), and cycling a card is worth about 1 mana (see Kingsblood Toxin), so Shield Block is overcosted. The reason it consistently shows up in Control Warrior is because of the myriad armor synergies they have (Shield Slam and Reckless Flurry are two great examples in standard). Druid can't do as much with armor gain, and cycling a card isn't nearly as good as something like Oaken Summons, which probably gets around the same armor gain on average and effectively draws and plays a card for a mere one mana extra.
