This Hand Druid Meta seems to really be a thing :)
Great. Druids now can get four copies of Branching Paths now, if they want. This is roughly the Card/Armor choice from Branching Paths, but less flexible. The flexibility was huge: you could get all sorts of favorable trades here and there with BP for attack now and again. But this has more raw power in the decks which will likely use it. Druids just have so much armor and card draw. Too much, IMHO. Perhaps next rotation some of that will be toned down.
This hand druid thing isn't going to work, one of the main reason why handlock was good is Jaraxxus. The only VIABLE druid deck was Jade and spiteful, I see spiteful as the last man standing for Druid
why isnt it going to work? if you play infinite value, you can get a similar effect as jaraxxus, for instance, the druid DK is a nice substitute and then you add spectral tigers into the mix, its hard not to see that is incredibly plausible for Handruid(patent pending) to work.
how does it makes any sense? are you telling me that handlock was only good because of jaraxxus? lol, was not it because of twilight drake and giant (?) (twiligth drake which is a version of bewitch guardian without taunt) you dont know what you saying
HandDruid can get their mountain giants out on turn 4 if they are able to play raven caller or witchwood apple. The problem is, this isn't filling your hand with your actual deck its filling your hand with trash
In theory, you play handlock to cheat out big stats on early turns, but all the cards in the deck are good, in handruid, you play a 2 mana card that gives you almost nothing except more cards in your hand, the wisp card is pretty much worthless too, especially now that Warriors have decent cards. If you want to play Twilight Drake, then you can't play Oaken summons unless you want to have a serious drawback, you can't taunt your giants for the same reason. The good cards are above, but are they worth to put in 2-6 worthless cards? I don't think so.
I'm not afraid of beeing wrong, I expect some critism and loads of downvotes
now you're being clear, was not agreeing with the comparison with old handlock and jaraxxus, makes no sense, but now i see your point though you can't predict what meta will look like, powerlevel is not the same, druid can have some creepy value too, it just depends on meta
Mages and Druids can now get more life than Warriors, which was supposed to be Warriors theme.
:thonking:
Druids are the warriors of the nature.
Look at me , I am the shield block now
These cards will definitely see some play. The new meta can be very interesting when taking a look at all the new cards.
Can't wait for the final reveals today and the Start of ww.
Well Handruid (patent pending) got the final card it needs to compete as a tier 1 control deck. that armor card is bonkers. its just missing a good board wipe.
Isn't that a really big missing piece? With no board wipe, isn't control basically dead?
3 mana
warriordruid card that gives you armor and draws a card... have I seen that somewhere before ?Solid cards but I'm still not sure if hand druid is going to be good enough.
I’m confused as to how it is supposed to win. Once in a while, dropping a Mountain Giant or seven wisps on turn three or four could lead to a blow out, but if that plan fails because you don’t get the god draw or your opponent has a counter, then what?
The armor card is great in Maly druid ^^ you always have a 8-9 card hand.
you basically are going to play cube druid with naturalize, taunts, hadronox and mountain giants, the rest of the deck kind of speaks for itself.
Then you just keep going with a control deck plan...
