Dang...And still 2 more Warrior cards to be revealed!
/quietlywhispering: "please be good, please be good"
1 drops that draws a card is always crazy good, dude.
Remember Swashburglar, Crystalline Oracle, and Babbling Book, all which got played in meta decks, and how they only give you a random card, with 1/1 stats?
Now compare this to Kobold Librarian, which was one of the strongest cards last set? The stats are comparable (maybe slightly worse), but you don't take 2 damage, and tutor is arguably stronger than all draw.
Tl;dr There is a reason this card is epic.
As some people stated it's a tutor. Any warrior deck with 2+ rush minions will autoinclude this card. Very good at least.
Welp, Warrior is dead, again.
This is epic just because they want to make the upcoming deck more expensive... Blizzard should really make some standard when it comes to deciding whether a card is common, rare, epic, or legendary. There is none at the moment.
I don't think you understand how CCG/TCG's work.
biggest thing for rarity is due to the effectiveness in arena, so in arena you're getting a 1 mana 1/2 draw a card which is amazing
Yes, but... That's assuming there's a rush card to grab... Not a guarantee.
Early in a draft, I'd hesitate. Later, when I know I have x number of rush cards - likely a snap pick (depending on what the choices are).
Overall, seems a solid card. Real similar function to arconologist.
People need to stop excusing Blizzard for putting the wrong cards in the epic slot for money and saying it's cause of arena. They fixed arena, it's no longer about rarity but power level. Any reason to make this card epic is purely about greed.
Nah, rarity still matters. You still get far fewer epics and you get 4 picks that are guaranteed to be at least Rare.
Here's how the turns break down for Rush Warrior.
Turn 1: Town Crier
Turn 2: Woodcutter's Axe
Turn 4: Militia Commander
Turn 5: Darius Crowley
Still waiting on that 3 Mana Rush minion. Ain't no fun waiting a turn to pop that last charge on Woodcutter's Axe.
There is Redband Wasp
Redband Wasp is 2 Mana. Playing a 2-drop on Turn 3 is not great tempo.
Besides, my initial point was that there was a gap in the Mana curve for Rush Warrior. A 3 Mana Rush minion would 1) fill that gap, and 2) be a more suitable target for Axe.
But then the Woodcutter's Axe don't buff anything with its battlecry.Edit: Wait, Am i stupid?
No, you're just human.
Redband Wasp is probably the worst Rush minion.
and now turn 6 pull out a big voidlord....game over
