You can find the official Hearthstone page for The Witchwood here.
New Cards
The cards are not yet in our database. We're working on getting the site ready for the new expansion.
- The Hero Power upgrade from Baku the Mooneater is the same as the one from Justicar Trueheart. (Source)
Card Backs
There are two new card backs. The first is available with the expansion pre-order and the second is a reward from Monster Hunt.
Monster Hunt
- Works like Dungeon Run in that you play a hero against bosses and build a deck as you progress.
- Does not use normal Hearthstone heroes, this has four unique characters.
Below are pictures of the Cannoneer, Houndmaster, Time Tinkerer, and Tracker heroes from Monster Hunt.
New Gameboard
As always, Hearthstone is getting a new game board with the expansion.
its a muck, summoned by this guy
I have to like your comment since my youtube and twitch is Purplatypus wich is purple and platypus pushed together. Hello fellow plat!
Bro... Fiery War Axe is a problem card on 2 mana even if it had a battlecry "Can only attack minions this turn" like effect. The tempo is still too damn high when you can prevent almost 99% of 2 drops to stick and still have a shot at something (or your opponent's face) next turn for no mana investment. It should stay on 3-mana or get nerfed for something like a 2/2 axe that would still be pretty good and probably see some play, but not a staple in every warrior deck.
About the other mentioned reworks/buffs, I agree with you... Warrior is currently lacking of class identity just like Priest was two years ago, beeing "out-armored" by Druid and having no other ways of getting into the game other than a mechanic that doesn't fit the current state of the class.
Maybe Rush could be the solution for a Midrange-Tempo kind of Warrior that maybe wouldn't be a complete BS to play against.
Echo taunt with quest warrior will be very good, and if they add other minions than the other quest may be good again.
is really baku and justikar same ? I mean Justicar says replace your starting hero power with better one but Baku says upgrade your hero power so if you use baku with jaina dk will hero power deal two damage and summon a water elemental ?
It does it at the start of the game. So it's always your starting hero power that gets upgraded.
Does start of game begin post mulligan? Prince Malchezar triggers after, but the text is now a keyword. I ask mainly for the idea of quests and Genn Greymane.
Since it has been confirmed that only shaman will get a new Hero card, I wonder if other classes will get new quests and/or new legendary weapons...
Why?! Is it too difficult or time-wasting to update older card texts?!
Charged Devilsaur has different effect than Rush. Also, under the hood, those "summon a minion from your deck" cards have slightly different (older) mechanics than the newer Recruit one (even though they work the same), so if they change their text, they would have to update their mechanics as well.
If you summon a Rush minion without playing it from hand, it can't attack face.
Charged Devilsaur, on the other hand, can do it, so his effect isn't Rush.
Consistency has been lacking since day 1 in Hearthstone, I don't know why it would be any different today.
They stated that Prince Mal would trigger after the Start of the Game check, and Rush changes the function of the Charged Devilsaur if he isn't played from your hand (evolve, recruit, etc.)
The rest of the changes look good to me.
You guys are right on Charged Devilsaur! Sorry! =D
I also think that Y'Shaarj is a little different because of the animation being much cooler and more interesting than Recruit's animation.
Seeing how Y'Shaarj, Meat Wagon and Finja weren't changed to have the "recruit" keyword when K&C came out, what makes you think they will update the others with "rush"?
I really don't think they'll change that, he's a legendary minion so it's kind of a unique thing.
