Armor does nothing to impact the board, if you going to heal yourself then 6 excess mana lets you do play more stuff than 4 mana.
There isn’t a realistic time that you’d want to gain 15 armor at 30hp for 6 mana unless it is the last card in your hand. There will be always a better play unless you are dying. Armor isn’t really that impactful in regards to winrate
Unidentified Infestation
probably should have costed 5 imo... hopefully some better control warrior tools get printed later
Lot of hate for this card being terrible, overpriced, and unplayable, but I think it could be useful and maybe even fun. Hear me out.
Equiping a weapon upgrades Lesser Mithril Spellstone. The solid armor gain gives Shield Slam the power to take out a Bonemare injected Kun the Forgotten King. Bashcan't kill Cobalt Scalebane, Savannah Highmane, or Lyra the Sunshard, so the damage roll here can actually save you turn 6 from snowball. The 5/5 body can force removal on a turn you normally armor+pass anyways.
This card isn't amazing or even great, but it's not horrible.
is it just me or does warrior seem to be getting shafted
I'm gonna have to disagree. Seeing as shield maiden is a battlecry minion, it is susceptible to dirty rat in standard and wild, and dreadlord in wild. Also with the new recruit cards if you run shield maiden, you could lose out on the armor. However, since this card is a spell it doesn't fall to those shortcomings, as unlikely as they are, is more versatile, and can add more value to a late game emergency Yogg if you run it. Yes, shield maiden always gives you a body, but sometimes you don't want one.
I think the crux is whether you can replace Shield Block with this. In the right kind of deck, where value is more important than draw, this might just work. If it were 5 mana, I think it would just replace Shield Block in nearly all archetypes. The random effect here is rough though compared to the maul and elixer which are always going to affect the board with their base effect.
Good synergy with new warrior legendary.
No problems with printing UI but makes this card expensive as shit because Armor apparantly costs alot.
What the fuck we're the devs thinking!? at least make this 5 Mana...if it weren't random I'd be fine with 6 Mana but it's random as shit..like seriously we should all complain hard to the devs to get them to change this card before it's released because honestly it really is that poorly designed.
The best case scenaro is still Iron Hide + Arcanite Reaper though. FeelsBadMan
We have to ask Decard Cain to identify it.
As long as you stay for a while and listen.
I like this one. It's more RNG, yes, but I think it's thematically accurate for this expansion. Also, I'm glad to see cards that are good but not too good. Hearthstone would be a terrible game if every card was Lyra or Ultimate Infestation. This card rides the line between pack-filler, and quite good. That said, I rarely play warrior, so I may never use it. However, I'm glad it exists.
To the people telling this should cost 5, remember that it's separated effects combined in a single card so you end up dealing with an additionnal hidden effect costing 1 mana : save a card slot.
Should cost 5
This should be 5 mana.
I mean, look, all of the listed effects, like, actually cost 6 mana.
You don't want to play a card with a random but fair effect
More bullshit RNG than GVG., which is a remarkable feet.
Can someone explain to me how this unidentified mechanic work?
So when you draw it, does the text in the card and graphic change to one of those 4 cards? So you know exactly what you're getting BEFORE you play the card?
