Really wish Eater of Secrets wasn’t rotating soon :(
I really don't understand how people are still unknown about the rotations. Hearthpwn made an article about it and everyone says it in the comments
Now this is a Secret I really like. A version of Ice Block that isn't a crutch.
An "iceblock" that actually requires a brain to play? Wow!
If you can't tell I really really just love playing against quest mages! :^ )
Looking forward to see the golden animation of this beautiful artwork.
Okay, now Hunter is officially the most fragile class in the game. So... we need more 7+ cards for control Hunter! :-|
Competition for Cancer God Tier of the new meta with Priest, and Mage.
The keyword here is “AFTER” your hero takes damage. You can still die before this triggers. I see this more of a mid-game damage sink to get you to some nasty late game plays.
I guess (hope) they'll introduce some additional card to counter secrets. Or maybe revive Kezan Mystic from wild somehow.
Lol, let her rest.
no we need her
I really like this card. One of the biggest problems with Ice Block is that you can invest in it early - you just drop it on three if you have nothing better to do, and leverage big board clears in the midgame to stall your enemy out and save your investment for the late game when you need it. The fact that Evasion requires you to play it the turn before you think you're going to take a ton of damage is important because it means you have two less mana to develop a way out of your near death situation.
It's also worth noting that, based on the phrase "after your hero takes damage," you could still die with this secret in play. Your opponent just needs to deal lethal damage in one blow to get around this. If you're playing against a Secret Rogue who's on the ropes, this actually makes for a very interesting decision point - if your opponent played Evasion to save their skin, it's best to deliver a large blow to the face to maximize damage, but if your opponent played Sudden Betrayal to dampen the attack, hitting with a big guy first could cost you a big hit and a minion. (I'm not really sure how Cheat Death fits, but oh well.)
A really nice description of the card. I believe you can "play around" both Evasion and Sudden Betrayal by not going face and trading instead. Thats where Cheat Death could fit and make things trickier, but the synergy between the two first is really clear.
Seems fairly weak. Maybe around the same power level of ice barrier, or a bit weaker.
it's a fair evaluation. Ice Barrier in itself is not a great card, it only sees play because of Arcanologist, Ice Block and burn as win condition instead of minion based combat. Would any Rogue deck play Ice Barrier? Certainly not. Would they play it for 2 mana? Maybe, but this card has an extremely high variance that is hard to evaluate.
Secrets were made!
play Evasion and use Razorpetal or any card for 1/2 demage for your slave and hit enemy
its work?
