Upcoming Changes to HearthPwn Accounts
Earlier this year, HearthPwn provided users the ability to merge their HearthPwn account with a new or existing Twitch account. With this account merging, we’re able to provide more streamlined account security, faster user support, and an easier log-in process. Additionally, Twitch account merging allows users to take advantage of two-factor authentication if they choose to enable it. Over 88% of Curse users are logging in with Twitch, and we’d now like to move towards maintaining a single user authentication system on HearthPwn.
Starting on December 20th, all users will need to merge their HearthPwn account with a new or existing Twitch account. Merging your account takes less than a minute, and you won’t lose any account data. Your display name, forum posts, and comments won’t be impacted at all. After you’ve merged accounts, you’ll simply log in using your Twitch credentials.
Ready to merge your account? You can do so here.
Still have questions? You can visit our FAQ here or submit a support ticket to request more information.
Community Card Pack Giveaway
To thank our community members for merging their accounts into the new account system, we're giving away Hearthstone Packs!
Interested? It's super easy to enter!
- Merge your HearthPwn account into a Twitch account. Be sure to merge before January 3rd!
- Leave us a comment down below sharing your favourite moment in Hearthstone.
If you've previously merged your Twitch and HearthPwn accounts, you're a step ahead and only need to leave a comment down below. Twenty lucky community members who complete the above steps will be chosen at random to receive 7 Hearthstone Packs of their choosing from a set which is giftable on the Battle.net shop.
The giveaway ends on January 3rd. After it ends, we'll get in touch with winners via HearthPwn private message to collect your BattleTag and region of play. Winners will have 72 hours to respond to our message before we pick a new one, so don't forget to check back after January 3rd.
Good Luck!
I don't like doing this on principle. What I hate even more is when site admins don't just admit they're doing it for money. You can talk about these ridiculous "benefits" as much as you like, but what it really comes down to is your partnership with Twitch, and the value of our user accounts insofar as they can be leveraged and exploited by Curse for metrics and social media marketing.
And the pack giveaway... Really? You guys ran a giveaway in the announcement post so that the hundreds of lottery entries would drown out any negative feedback. And that's pretty shady, IMO. I'm really getting turned off by the way Curse does business. You guys have never been known for your ethics, but it seems like the company kept getting worse over the last 4 or 5 years..
If you guys might have been more honest about this, I wouldn't be nearly as salty about it. I don't feel like being part of a community that's owned by a company that does business like this. Maybe this was just the straw that broke the camel's back, I don't know. I'm not saying you guys are evil; you can't blame a corp for making money. But you CAN blame it for the WAY it makes that money, and I don't like the way Curse is making its money. In my own way, I won't contribute to your profits anymore, even if my influence is infinitesimal. All I can do is say thanks but I decline, so that's what I'm gonna do.
yep and i don't have a twitter account or want to make one, so it looks that i ll be stopping commenting soon in this site... maybe this move would cost them 10% of their customer base, well played... The only sense of making that could be maybe an expected acquistion by twitch parent company but i doubt they ll be interested..
My favourite moment is "Troggs rule" followed by two totem golems.
My favorite moment as an F2P player is opening e legendary!
Getting Legend back in 2014.
Ostkaka winning the world championship, go Sweden :)
My favorite moment was the creation of Renounce Darkness. It gave me so many great moments, especially at one point where I had an empty board and a Prep in hand against a Mage who also had an empty board at the end of his/her turn after burning me down to about 8 health. At the end of my following turn, I had a 6/6, 8/8, and 10/10 Edwin. Fun times.
There was a Match, i played control Pala against an Aggro Shaman, where i was down to 1 HP - twice. At the end forbidden healing and Rag Lightlord were my greatest friends. Nailbiting and up and down, thats what I love 'bout Hearthstone
My favorite moment is when playing against Razakus Priest he stole me Jade Idole at turn 4 and put 3 copies into deck and at turn 5 he played Raza... with no effect... conceded! :D :D :D :D
Best moments are the come from behind victories where you stand no chance of winning but hold out to see what your opponent does... then the mistake happens and you can't stop laughing as you cruise to a comeback victory.
My best favorite moment is summon Tirion Vadin , Epic!
Playing Evolve Shaman vs Quest Mage. Managed to evolve one of my minions into Nozdormu. My opponent wasn't able to set up their combo anymore. That was very funny. :D
My favorite moment was when i opened my first golden legendary Umbra after 1 year playing this game :)
My favorite moment is whenever I get crushed by an RNG (discover/add a card to your hand) King Krush from a Hunter I already think I stabilized against.
Best hearthstone moment? getting a golden Deathwing
Favorite moment is barnes + ancient one ( which survived the turn )
Favourite moment was when i opened my first Legendary! :)
I think my favorite was playing quest warrior against a mage.
They were at 30 health and they got me down to 1 health. Then I got a really lucky draw and landed two armorsmiths (plus I think an alley armorsmith). A couple of whirlwinds, ravaging ghouls and a drake later I was over 30 armor and had completed my quest.
I still don't know how I wont that match, but somehow I did.
My favorite moment was when I played yogg and instantly won the game :D
