Amsterdam Announcement
Quote from BlizzardThe Hearthstone® Championship Tour (HCT) will come to a star-studded conclusion in Amsterdam as HCT 2017 finishes its journey in the Beurs van Berlage Conference Centre.
This monumental venue once housed the Dutch stock exchange, and has witnessed royal marriages. Now, one of the Netherlands’ most famous buildings will host the HCT World Championship.

Beurs van Berlage

NetherlandsAt the HCT World Championship, attendees will be able to meet, greet, and challenge their favorite Hearthstone personalities in friendly matches. There will also be on-site tournaments—open to all ticket-holders—that will award special swag. Attendees can expect to mingle with players from all around the world, as the Hearthstone community unites to send off the Hearthstone Championship Tour in style.
All attendees who purchase a ticket and check-in on site will receive the Thrill of Victory card back, which will be awarded to registered Blizzard Battle.net accounts once the HCT World Championship concludes.
When
Mark your calendars for Thursday, Jan. 18 through Sunday, Jan. 21, 2018. The atmosphere will be electric, and the competition will be fierce as a full year of competitive Hearthstone comes down to just four days of play among the 16 qualified players.
Players
Eight players have already qualified through the HCT Winter Championship and the HCT Spring Championship. The remaining eight berths will be awarded to the semifinalists from the HCT Summer Championship, and to the four players who are the highest point earners from each Hearthstone competitive region that are not already qualified for the World Championship (the Last Call slots).
Qualification and Format
The HCT World Championship will start with a group stage before progressing into a playoff bracket. Player seeding will be determined by placement in the four HCT World Championship qualifying events: The Winter Championship, Spring Championship, Summer Championship, and Last Call.
Matches will be played in the following format:
- Each match will be best-of-seven in Conquest format with one ban. Players will bring five decks, ban one of their opponent’s decks, then compete with the remaining four decks.
- The group stage will be a dual tournament, with two competitors advancing from each group to the playoff bracket.
- The playoffs will be single elimination.

Does anyone have info on what we can do if we did not receive the packs we were suppose to?
Anyone knows when the free packs will be granted? Thanks in advance.
Is there any chance to see Pavel on the tournament though ??
Glad I voted for Orange!!! Way to go man!
Moral of the story: Stop voting for Pavel. Seriously, every fucking tournament we have the same song and dance.
Man, I missed voting for this one! Or it wasn't in my region. But check out that prize pool. They get money just for showing up? Remember, kids, that's college money there.
Never mind, I just chose wrong. Like I always do, DAMMIT!
I've been lucky with my guesses. Picked Orange now. Earlier in GG i picked Ukraine. In the championship I picked Hoej and before that Frozen. No directly knowledge, just gut feeling. Pretty sick. But I'm happy.
Orange could have won, but helped to surrender to steal cards, that made him lose the final.
Chose Surrender because of his name. I am satisfied and can now go to sleep waiting for the prize!
What!?! You mean I didn't pick a 1 pack?!?! I picked Orange?!?! wtf!?!?! Are we sure this isn't a dream? I'm going to wake up, and Orange will have lost, and I will only be getting 1 pack.
Hmm... finished my coffee now... Orange still made it to the finals... wtf? I think hell is frozen
You must be young.
2 packs squad here, BlessRNG and double Bloodlust. Still better than 1
Well 3 packs for me then. I ain't even mad :)
I don't understand, isn't the world championship supposed to happen at Blizzcon?
"Instead of taking place during Blizzcon in the fall, breaking the tradition of previous years, the 2017 Hearthstone World Championship will now take place in January 2018, to accommodate the timing of the Standard year rotation."
Thanks juacma :)
But what's the point of Blizzcon then? I mean Hearthstone-wise.
Am I getting 1 or 2 packs with Pavel?
2
So, how many packs will i get from Orange?
