Discuss this Week's Brawl
If you want to discuss this brawl with fellow brawlers, head on over to the discussion thread!
I've had that happen two or three times myself. It's certainly a bug. If I had to guess nefarian's 30 damage and the heal trigger happen right after each other without checking to see if the gargoyle died in between, assuming your opponent pops Nef's final form.
pleeeease blizzard add a chat between 2 players
I played priest twice and it was like my partner didn't know what would happen at 60 health twice. Luckly the second guy didn't draw gargoyal before after 60 health so I was able to buff it up for the win.
Love this brawl! got it in the first trial!
Dear lord I hate pubbing for these PvE co-op brawls... Thankfully my second attempt yielded a kill, but the first guy decided to not even think about killing the runes he was playing on my side and definitely didn't use his priesty powers to heal anyone other than himself.
They may go even further in this. My partner casted Ancestral Spirit on rune for me.
I had an "partner" try to actively throw the game after he fucked up and ran his buffed Intrepid Dragonstalker right into Nef's 30 damage blast wave.
It felt great to win despite him doing anything in his power to make me lose, but the amount of childishness and ego of some of these players is shocking. Like, who cares who controls the big minion that beats up Nef, it's Coop! Why are you buffing your Refreshment Vendor when I have Dragonstalker/Gargoyle on the board?!
God, please.... Help me.... 20+ tries... PLEASE!
I'm staying up with a friend. If we can friend each other (does winning with a friend still get you credit?) we can probably win. Nefarian is tough, but the trick to these is to save your burst cards while healing enough to survive, which is SO much easier to do when you're communicating.
Anthology : denial of hero power, divining a gargoyle, windfury a refreshment vendor, turn 1 cleric and, worst of all, keeping attacking damn Nef after he wipes the board... I swear I've been cooperating with Blizzard AI for almost 2 hours now. Serves me right falling asleep before trying this brawl. It seems ALL smart people have completed the quest already, and as there is 0 replayability.... I guess I'll wait for a friend tomorrow night. Worst shit ever.
Edit : found a player who I had no idea of the brawl but could adapt! He just restored my faith in humanity!
Beat him on my first attempt, even though my first turn was Zombie Chow getting nuked by Nef which I didn't expect :o It's still not an easy challenge, yet I love these co-op brawls even when you're unable to communicate directly with your partner. Turns out a 20/x Windfury minion packs quite a punch!
I love these Brawls. They're different, a legitimate challenge, and working with somebody online is a fantastic counterpoint to the usual toxic crap that permeates too much of online gaming.
But it'd be nice to have a way to communicate. Like maybe swap the emotes to be flavors of "Need healing", "be conservative", etc.... It'd make the coop more robust, and let's face it, these are really the emotes at this point:
Emotionless hello
Emotionless GG
F*** you, noob
F*** you, noob
F*** you, noob
F*** you, noob
That stupid guys that keeps surrender..Cause no f reason..Most of them ignore the co-theme of this brawl, you manage to build a big minion, they ff as you are planning to go face on them..Also we've got the "only-me" players, you use a card after hand swap, they want it badly and they go.."you have bested me"..O god almighty, this stupidity in every co-brawl..Newsflash, we are team..and thats the point of sharing and respect everyone's playstyle and strategy..
Ps.If blizzard manage to make the theme obvious..not only a mere description.. zeppelin-ad flying around obvious!.. co-brawls have no future in this rtarded community, even if the idea behind them is f awesome..
I have no friends. :(
Play it with a friend and is super fun!!
This Brawl together with Win 3 Brawl Quest. I'm soooo happy, not.
Personally I like this one, especially because of how hard it is to try to communicate in HS and even things like having a partner that is new to this brawl can be a lot of fun as you try to help him out with weird timed emotes.
Of course sometimes it will end up with both of us dying but it's nice to have at least some sort of challenge in HS once in a while.
One and done for me. Im lucky i had an opponent that knew it was a coop brawl..
There comes a point when you just have to ask yourself: Is this worth one pack? Even when you have a good partner who works with you, this brawl is still hard.
I'm 20-1 including a win in which my 'partner' was actively trying to throw the game. The 1 loss was a ragequit on my part at a similarly imbecilic partner. Honestly the biggest challenge in this brawl is coaching a dimwitted ally to make the correct plays without a direct means to communicate. Nefarian himself is a cinch unless you get very unlucky on the draw and/or Nef's early actions, assuming both players roughly understand what to do.
