Upcoming Adventure Theme Leaked?
Thanks to Chinese gaming media, we've got an idea of which adventure we're going to be seeing next from the Hearthstone team. It was revealed that the next theme will be a World of Warcraft raid that contains 3 Chinese characters.
This comes to us from a post on Tieba, the author previously leaked the Morgl hero before he was released so this has some weight to it.
Thanks to /u/czhihong on reddit for compiling a correct list of raids that are 3 Chinese characters in length. They are:
- 卡拉赞 Karazhan
- 奥杜尔 Ulduar
- 永春台 Terrace of Endless Spring
- 悬槌堡 Highmaul
It should be noted though that both Highmaul and Terrace of Endless Spring have very few bosses within them (7 and 4 respectively) and don't make very good candidates for an adventure unless they pull another Blackrock Mountain where they use a collection of entities in an area.
So that leaves both Karazhan and Ulduar, which are two raids which people always fall back on as being the best of experiences. They also have 11 and 14 bosses respectively which is the perfect amount for a 4 or 5 wing adventure.
oh god damn, you made coffee come out of my nose. haha, +1
Ice crown or riot
No, gimme that DEATH KNIGHT class
Amen brother i'm begging for it since last year
I vote for Icecream Citadel too!
Between the initial release of NAX and BRM, it was 254 days.
Between the release of LOE and BRM, it was 224 days.
Between LOE's release and today, it has also been 244 days.
WHERE IS OUR EXPANSION BLIZTARD
10 days from today we'll have it
how do you know tho
Ulduar would be so interresting. While Karazhan is nice, it is already featured in Legion. Ok, Ulduar too, but by far Karazhan is far more important there. So the time is right to introduce the best raid in WoW ever created. Ulduar!
Karazhan hype!!!
Loved that raid and played it more than any other. Man I really hope it's Karazhan.
Shade of Aran hijinx included
YES, please! ^-^ We can only hope! I need some Moroes in my life, and imagine how cool Netherspite and Opera could be?!
i love adventures... bring more like this please !!
time to save up some money then :)
Must be Karazhan. Hype!
The only issue with Ulduar is that a number of the bosses are already cards (Mimiron's Head, Flame Leviathan, Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, can't recall any further ones...). I mean you could still substitute them with other cards or do the same thing they did with Deathwing but it seems like Karazhan would have more options for new cards. Plus the chess event could be similar to the mine cart level in LoE (a boss I really enjoyed).
My bad. When I said substitute them, I meant exactly what you said for LoE where they give you a different card instead of a card for the boss.
Karazhan/ulduar would be the most logical picks, seeing as they're perennial favorites.
The halfhill card back, from a WoW lore standpoint, has next to nothing to do with Terrace of Endless Springs, save for the fact that they're two places on the same continent... by that merit, the zul'drak card back means the next adventure should be ulduar, because both of THOSE places are both in Northrend.
The only (though somewhat compelling) reason it could be Terrace of Endless springs is the afformentioned brochure, which mentions both the vale of eternal blossoms AND the old gods, and the Terrace is IN vale of eternal blossoms while Y'shaarj's Sha are behind the badness happening there. That said, it's a little scant on bosses, having only four...
Highmaul would just be completely out of left field.
Ulduar and Karazhan both can be very cool candidates for Adventures, but there are a couple of things to consider:
1. Karazhan has a couple of weird optional bosses and weird events in the raid, such as the Opera Event and the Chess Event, so that would be tough to use as a boss.
2. Yogg-Saron is the final boss of Ulduar, so what would the reward be for defeating Yogg-Saron? (Please give us golden Yogg-Saron Blizzard, thx :D)
Besides those two concerns, I am stoked for the next adventure!
Ragnaros was a boss at BRM, so...
