Team Archon and Curse have partnered up to bring to you The Curse Trials - a $30,000 Invitational Hearthstone tournament. The tournament will run from February 17th until the 19th, with games starting at 11 AM PST.
- A special rule is active for the tournament - no classic cards allowed!
- HearthPwn will have the full deck lists of all the players once the tournament is over!
- Four of the sixteen participants have been announced so far, with more coming soon! Check out the announced players below.
I m AMAZed how they can get so much money into these tournaments.
Keep up the good work, Hearthpwn!
AWESOME amazing stuff! You guys did great job with Trials! Congratz!!! I also ask, please give us full track-list of songs that were played between series! They are too awesome as you all are! THANKS!
I think more and do not know what the Blizzard..
No classic cards.. That's gotta suck. LOL
Yeah, can't say I'm thrilled either about this invitational crap.
At least Blizzcon is something to mildly look forward to. Even if the final rounds are still blemished by RNG outcomes, the road to Blizzcon (the actual challenge) will be harder for those who only manage to get there because of invitational tournaments also awarding points.
Which class suits best for this rules, what do you think?
Mage is definitely top tier then I would say its a close second on priest and warrior.
not really. all mage's viable spells are classic and basic.
So no
to deal with:
Apparently Amaz said on stream the ban included Basic Cards
I wish they made a Tavern Brawl with tournament rules like these...
Great idea.
That means no silence at all! Not even Keepo of the Groove and Da Silence or Mass Distill! No BGH! No stupid Force Roar! No freeze mage!
My prediction is that classes with strong basic and expansion cards will prevail! (Isn't that obvious...)
So I think we will see a lot of Curve Paladin, Dragon Priest and Mech Mage! I hope somebody can realize that Mech Bolster Warrior can be played too!
HYPE!!!!
Maybe even Shaman :)
Most of the paladin secrets are classic cards.
Wish it was over the weekend. I won't be able to watch....
How about no GvG cards instead so no Paladin or mech decks?
I'm so tired about all these named players who don't play actively ... fck invitationals. Count me out.
Can't wait to see what decks they use.
