Free Legendary For Logging In
Quote from BlizzardThe Bloodrock Mining Company found powerful Azerite in the Badlands. They’re digging deep and bleeding the land dry, disrupting the Badlands and awakening slumbering elementals! Now mysterious outlaws are riding into town to set things right. Tumbleweeds roll by and high noon looms. Grab your horse and your hat, it’s nearly time for a Showdown in the Badlands!
Showdown in the Badlands launches worldwide on November 14, with 145 rootin’ tootin’ new cards! You can find the full Showdown in the Badlands reveal schedule, and all the cards that have already been revealed, by visiting the official Card Library. Check back frequently—the page will be updated with new cards daily. And make sure you check out Hearthstone at BlizzCon, where we’ll be showing the Showdown in the Badlands Cinematic Trailer and more!
A Crooked Lawman Faces Noble Outlaws
The Bloodrock Mining Company’s operation is run by none other than the corrupt Sheriff Barrelbrim! Sheriff Barrelbrim is as greedy as his hat is tall, so he’s not halting the mining for something as silly as health and safety. He’s coerced, cajoled, and conscripted the townsfolk into working the mines; and he has a special spot in the Badlands Jail for anyone who stands in his way.
But an unexpected band of noble outlaws has come together to take him on! Each of these gunslingers is used to working on their lonesome, so they have special effects if your deck has no duplicates. Demon Hunter, Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Priest, and Shaman each have one of these Legendary Outlaws, and they’re led by Elise, Badlands Savior!
This here story takes place before Elise joined the League of Explorers, so they won’t be joining her in this rodeo, but who knows who she might meet on this adventure.
New Keyword: Quickdraw
To win a Wild West Showdown, you’ve got to be quick on the draw! Cards with the new Quickdraw keyword get a special bonus if they’re played the turn they enter your hand. Fire your cards off as soon as you draw them for maximum effect!
New Keyword: Excavate
What’s the Bloodrock Mining Company after, anyway? Why, Treasures, of course! Cards with the new Excavate keyword give you a Treasure when played. Each time you Excavate, you get a Treasure from the tier you’re on, and then you progress to the next tier, so the further you dig into the mine, the bigger and rarer your treasure gets. Talk about paydirt!
So, the first time you Excavate, you get one of five 1-mana Common Treasures. The next time you Excavate, you get one of five 2-mana Rare Treasures. Then one of five 3-mana Epic Treasures. Once you tap out your mine, you start your excavation over at Common in a new vein! In total, there are 15 Neutral Excavation Treasures that all classes can dig up: five at each rarity.
Five classes are working with the Bloodrock Mining Company: Death Knight, Mage, Rogue, Warlock, and Warrior. These expert miners are able to get even deeper in their Excavations. Each of these classes has a class-specific 4-mana Legendary Excavate Treasure that they get when they Excavate for the fourth time. Eureka!
The Excavate Treasures have rarities so you know how far you are into the mine, but none of these cards are collectible cards in the set—they can only be obtained through Excavation. You can also find these Excavation Treasures through the “related cards” functionality in the official Card Library. The remaining Legendary Excavate Treasures will be revealed during reveal season.

It gives me the vibes of being a heavily focused on powercreep expansion as the 3rd expansion of every year is yet I find it rather good on first look.
I really wish they would adopt a new expansion model to help curve powercreep. Other games handle this well.
A simple solution would be to have yearly Standard cycles instead of biyearly. Release a larger expansion at the start of the year, then release smaller and smaller sets as the year comes to an end. (That way fewer cards have less play-time in Standard.)
Is it just me or are the recent expansions getting shorter by 1-2 weeks?
Before, they used to release during specific months. Now, it looks like they are releasing expansions every 16-17 weeks instead. So every year there will be about two weeks left-over; this means that expansions will begin to rotate and release two weeks earlier each year. And we're now starting to see those effects.
It happened in 2020 when the Summer expansion (Scholomance) was released in early Aug and the Fall/Winter expansion (Darkmoon Faire) was released in mid Nov, but the Spring expansion (Forged in Barrens) was released in March 30 with the new year and standard rotation.
Basically, the Fall/Winter expansion will have 1-2 weeks longer and the Summer expansion has 1-2 weeks shorter.
Additionally, the presence of Mini-set cycles (which we did not have in 2020 and before) make it feel like the gap between expansion cycles smaller.
The expansions starting with Festival of Legends in March came first 1 week earlier and then further earlier, up to this expansion launching Mid Nov instead of the first week of Dec. They purposefully worked all year to get this expansion out earlier to this degree.
But we don't know why.
My personal belief is that they simply wanted to start bringing out the Dec release earlier, to prevent it coming after many people in the world, but especially the US, have started shopping for the holidays. This expansion will now launch some 10 days before Black Friday, instead of the same period after it. I personally think that is the reason we saw this shift this year, and I suspect we may see a similar shift being applied next year, to make sure the last expansion of the year falls in a period where more people are inclined to spend on it.
In the end we don't really know though. For all we know Blizz announces at Blizzcon that they are going to go to a new cadence of releases and the shift has been to work towards that. We may never get an answer.
Just another skin for druid as pre order is a fucking joke ... come on we just had c thun in shop !! -,-
Can't wait to be Thunderbringered with Ragnaros+Crush combo.
I made a Thunderbringer deck for Wild. With Flark's Boom-Zooka, Charged Devilsaurs, Dire Frenzy, Stranglethorn Heart and Zul'jin. For memerific fun. Here's the code:

Ooh yeah, that's what I'm talking about. Also can't wait to put the Reno Hunter card into play. Handbuffing that dude and playing Brann with it to attack all enemies twice while Immune, gonna be hilarious. Would be great to steal it as a Shudder deck with Cold Storage too. To have Shudder bonk the enemy in the face repeatedly, hehe
Some of these treasures are pretty strong 😱
they don't know what else they can come up with for the game
Ofc they would give more Excavate Treasures and the Excavate Legendary to Rogue... I have a bad feeling about something broken coming up, most likely in Wild with Miracle Rogue...
Broke: Thunderbringer
Woke: Cow Shaman
Bespoke: Ogrefist Boulder
Interesting. Looks fun!
