They are saying that they are testing changes in the hope to find a better iteration of the card instead of just removing it forever.

Pacific_Onion posted a message on The Fury of Kael'thas - Tavern Brawl #362Posted in: Tavern BrawlI played this brawl 60+ games and only faced a non-mage about 6 times. 2 Druids, 1 shaman, and a few Paladins. I got bored with the Mage mirror so I switched over to DH trying to cheese out Taintheart with Proving Grounds. If you get it out on turn 1 or 2 before opponent can amulet then you win, they can't do anything when every spell cost (2) more. I was surprised to post around a 40% wr over dozens of games despite it being so highrolly. Games are much quicker because if they get out amulet first you lose, so games are usually decided within the first 3 turns.
Then I wanted a challenge and tried Warlock. Only won twice in about 10 games, but they were extremely satisfying wins. The goal is to control opponent's dragons with removal, usually Twisting Nether, heal damage with cards like Spice Bread Baker, then set up a naval mine OTK. Very difficult to pull off, but feels great when it works. -

What we NEED now is a Deathrattle minion that puts a Curse into the opponents hand...
...Tamsin's Phylactery...
>:D

It goes into their hand, and ticks twice. But the damage, and healing therefor, go up as more get used. They can choose to play it for 2 mana and not let the healing and damage go off, as an option.

Oh boy. People not going to like this.
I do though! 😈

That's exactly what it means.

There's a few Meches where this can be very nice. Mage Colossal as one example, Gaia, the Techtonic.

Well it could be viewed as a solid finisher for a midrange deck. The issue is that you need other decks to be board based and to trade into your stuff to make this worth it as a real threat.
So again we arrive at the point where this card's power relies on how well Blizzard succeeds in getting the game back to more board fighting.
We will have to see.

Jarla is just such an admirable player, and not just for his in-game play.
You can always count on him to have a read on the meta, and to bring decks that counter it, but with a decidedly personal twist ( Crossroads Watch Post anyone?). On top of that his play is always calculated and precise.
And all of this, plus his tendency to take all of his time until the final rope burnout to play his turns might give the impression that's he's a tryhard with no sense of humor.
But check this:
Gaby, from the start of the 2022 Grandmasters Season 1 has used this picture as his go-to image on the official website, obviously meant as a total joke:
So what does Jarla do, I believe starting this week? In the biggest week of the Grandmasters year so far, with EVERYTHING on the line?
He changes his usual graphic on the official site to this:
So, not only is Jarla the much deserved Europe representative at the World Champions later this year, he also has a great sense of humor. Kudos to him. :D
