Thank you for the kind words, I last updated this when descent of dragons mini set was launched, so tour guide wasn't even around then. I haven't played with this deck since then but you are probably right it seems like a good fit.
This is why everyone hates priest by the way, "draw good and win or draw bad and lose", so when blizzard prints good cards for priest they are more likely to have the good draws, therefore they are more annoying to play against. Similar thing also applies to any aggressive shaman deck by the way. Everyone hates aggro shaman and priest when they are meta, because their core idea is this simple thing that both the player and the opponent doesn't have any power on.
You are complaining about the lack of strategy in aggro decks and praise priest? How are you so blind to the fact that the """class identity""" of priest is basically hoping to have the correct card at any given moment. That's literally every priest deck in the entire history of hearthstone. Draw good and win or draw bad and lose, literally every priest deck. Don't talk about having a strategy, at least in aggro decks there is basic resource management, which requires more strategy than anything priest does. "Do I play the 15th removal in my deck", "do I play DK on 8", "do I play shadow essence on 5" the answer is always yes, if you even find yourself asking these questions while playing priest you have already lost anyway, or worse, if you answer no to any of them, you deserve to lose anyway, so tell me, where is the strategy?
By the way, the reason I decided to run Bloodsail Corsairs instead of Southsea Captains is because with corsair you can get Patches out on turn 1 and it's also more easily combo-ed with Ship's Cannon on turn 3 (or 2 with coin).
Also, back then Patches had charge so running southsea captains was valuable since it became a free 2-2 with charge.
My aim with this deck was to complete the quest quickly and get as much as value from the double battlecries as possible. As a result, you can see that both the main package and all the other packages are very minion heavy. If you wanted to add fist to this deck you would also need to add quite a reasonable amount of spells, which kinda defeats the original purpose of the deck. Besides, fist and the quest hero power doesn't interact at all, so I don't think it doesn't make a lot of sense as an idea anyway (no offense). But I guess you can make a reno fist deck without the quest, and I don't think I've ever seen anyone post something like that, so if you feel like it go for it.
If you draw it early you can play it as just a 3-3 even if you don't have a lackey in play to get quest progression, if you draw it late then you can probably hold onto it and play other stuff until you do eventually get a lackey. So basically it's either a cheap quest progression or 3 mana deal 6 damage, which makes it decent in any case.
Same scenario actually applies to desert hare + evolve in the evolve package as well. But desert hare is a little bit worse since it's easier to deal with in early game.
