its ONLY good vs aggro otherwise its beond trash because you can lose your most valuable cards. Just vs aggro where you just have to survive to a point is this good. Will not see any play.

fusilli posted a message on Horde Operative = nice secret mage tech?Posted in: Wild FormatNah. Secret mage thrives on high tempo enabled by having secrets; copying their secrets does little to impact them. Stealing a block and then healing would work against, say, freezemage, but not against stuff like this with heavy board prescence; simultaneously, stealing a 3 dam aoe that they know is coming doesn't work against a board full of 4/4s. Eater is a significantly better tech card, whilst being worse in other MUs, but most slower decks don't mind the poor base statline of eater in other MUs because the card does its job well in the main MU it's needed for.
Don't think it manages enough for the aggressive decks to want it.

Banur posted a message on New Neutral Rare Card Revealed - Horde OperativePosted in: NewsThat’s what tech cards are. They have a special purpose against a specific deck mechanic and are rubbish against anything else.
Yes, in a diverse meta you would add something that improves your overall deck quality, but in a meta with dominating decks of that specific mechanic, tech cards immensely improve your win rate against the dominating deck while only slightly decreasing it against unpopular decks.
Due to facing the dominant deck more often than unpopular decks, your overall win rate goes up.

RuneterraFTW posted a message on New Neutral Rare Card Revealed - Horde OperativePosted in: NewsWhy? Keep in mind that you DON'T destroy the enemy secrets, just copy them. For 1 mana only more you have in wild a 2/5 that DESTROYS the secrets AND gets bigger stats.
I understand your hype but please tier 1 come on

Banur posted a message on New Neutral Rare Card Revealed - Horde OperativePosted in: NewsI’m not sure how good it will be against mage as those secrets are too expensive to have many up without mana cheating and even then many are triggered soon after. So you get one or two, maybe three if lucky.
But I think it’s better against paladin as those secrets are cheap and with the potential archetype with the new legendary, that could be good.

They’re called hero cards now, death knights are specific to frozen throne expac.
Also Sac Pact got changed when DH came out so it’s only really possible with a crazy cho, Saboteur combo.
I agree with the rest of you points, and it’s even better now because perhaps the new Paladin secret “Reckoning” would have triggered with old Jaraxxus.
But what I don’t get or agree with is why you’re being hostile. The person stated their opinion casually and inconclusively . People can be wrong, opinions can change, this is a place for discussion.

I hope one day Oldsera gets her classic dream cards back. Dream has saved my butt at 0.
Looking forward to classic, maybe she’ll find a home there with her OG dream cards.
As for Ysera the Dreamer I think her changes are fine. Having guaranteed shadowstep in any class might limit some upcoming design space. I’m sure if she’s too weak they’ll adjust accordingly.
I’m also curious if the “except Ysera” is too clunky for them to want to deal with. Does that mean no sapping of your opponents’ old Ysera, Ysera the Dreamer, or Ysera Unleashed?
I’m mostly joking but funny to think about.

Lol xD
I would like to try it out at 1 mana for a bit in wild, I’m curious if that would even make the cut considering how pirate warrior operates now.

Well done!

The only reason to save on opening classic packs is if you’re wanting cards that were Hall of Famed like Murkeye or Captain’s Parrot in order to play in wild, classic, or perhaps duels at some point.
Classic is rotating into legacy, and as far as I know, won’t be available with all the other cardpacks in standard but rather be grouped into wild or maybe separately to bring interest to “classic mode.”
They won’t be giving you the core set cards, but rather letting you “rent them.” So basically you’ll just have extra copies until they rotate.
2
I really think talking about all of these changes to the core set is a bit premature.
Part of the benefit Blizzard gets by a free rotating core set is the ability to add new cards and bring more incentives to getting recent packs.
You could see a minion with similar effect as Wild Pyro at 1 mana that maybe only triggers once a turn as a 1/3. We literally have no clue.
I know this comes up each expac, but this one it is especially true. They now have the space to power creep or tweak classic/basic cards without them being compared in the same available sets.
Druid could get a 5 mana choose 1 spell: deal 2 damage to all enemy minions or heal your minions for 5.
There’s little point in talking like we know what this next expac will bring before seeing cards. And even then, we might be wrong until the card is actually played. Remember corridor creeper?

https://www.hearthstonetopdecks.com/cards/ysera-the-dreamer/
Ysera Awakens: 3 Mana deal five to all minions
Nightmare: 0 mana +4/+4
Laughing Sister: 2 mana 3/5 can’t be targeted
Dream: 1 mana return an enemy minion to your opponents hand

These are completely new cards, not reworked ones. Alex and Maly will stay alive in wild.
The reworked cards in question here are charge minions changing to rush. Boar and Bluegill

So unfortunately Old Ysera is getting nerfed and it’s confirmed here:
https://mobile.twitter.com/Celestalon/status/1365107075383107584
But we are getting a dust refund and that is confirmed as well:
https://mobile.twitter.com/GW_Alec/status/1365329751993327623
To everyone that said this didn’t deserve (warrant?) a refund, do you still think that? Did Glinda not deserve (warrant?) a refund when they nerfed keyword Echo?

I think an important distinction that needs to be made is that you are not exactly getting the card for free, you are getting to use the card for free. Until they decide it rotates. You can’t dust it, akin to the Halloween old gods event the year before last. It’s essentially a free rental.
why should getting a new card keep you from getting refunded for the old one? I don’t understand this logic even if you were getting a card you could dust. They’re still different cards.
All this said I don’t care about the dust at all, I would prefer the card left alone if possible.
