posted a message on "Ben Brode on how long until Pirates walk the plank"

On the topic of nerfing: Why not start with a small nerf, let it get tested by the community as a whole, and then reevaluate after a month? Seems more like they are looking for a permanent/one-time fix instead of letting the community decide what is and is not fair play.

My proposition for small nerfs to start would be:

Small-Time Buccaneer only gets +1 attack for controlling a weapon.

Spirit Claws only has 2 durability. There is not a real way to fix the RNG from rolling a spell power totem, so this feels like a decent first stab at a small nerf.

Another card to consider nerfing would be Drakonid Operarive as he is incredibly undercosted. Even just a small change of being a 5/5 is a step in the right direction.

Just my thoughts. Good luck and grind on,

    -Wings

This looks awesome! Tomorrow couldn't come soon enough, getting tired of Shamanstone. Thanks again for the opportunity!

posted a message on Madam Goya

Madam Goya - 6 mana - 4/3 - Battlecry: Choose a friendly minion. Swap it with a (random) minion in your deck.

On the surface, it looks like garbage. 6 mana for a 4/3 is terrible stats and the battlecry ability is super RNG dependant in the average deck. Typically a vanilla 4/3 costs 3 mana in Hearthstone, so how do we get our value from the other 3 mana invested?

My second glance at Madam Goya had me recall a powerful MTG deck with Natural Order as it's main win condition. For those who are not familiar with this deck (or MTG), the purpose was to create a Green Token at a cheap cost, then Cast Natural Order to find something HUUUGE and powerful to slam the board with (typically a 10/10 that basically can't be removed from the board to kill your opponent in 2 turns).

This gave me the idea to then go back to Hearthstone and do a search for any Token generators and came up with a few, the best being for Druid. Other tokens from different classes: Warrior (Blood to Ichor), Mage (Mirror Image), Paladin (Hero Power), etc. However we have to keep in mind that this combo works best in a Control style strategy.

Druid has multiple, the best being Living Roots and Power of the Wild. Living Roots requires you to either protect and setup tokens on t5 for a t6 Goya. Otherwise a turn 7 Goya is much more consistent, but a turn behind.

Looking at an average Malygod Druid deck, your early game is mostly spells, leaving your end game filled with big heavy hitting minions.

Other minions you wouldn't mind swapping being Mire Keeper, Fandral (after he's gotten value), and Azure Drake. Look at all the beef in your top end that you potentially could hit (frequently and consistently) with Madam Goya.

Remember, we only need Goya to give you 3 mana worth of value extra to the board just to break even (which wouldn't happen often with this style of deck).

There is also the potential of swapping a minion that has been damaged (gotten you value already) for the ultimate value plan.

I don't believe Madam Goya will work in every deck, but there are definitely decks that exist and more that will arise that can take advantage of her.

Madam Goya is not garbage, she just requires a little bit of thinking and deck building skills to work.

I'll be creating more card reviews on my Facebook page over the next few weeks if you enjoyed this.

Rogues are Control/Combo decks, so you must keep going face. Only make trades when you can get pure value. If they have a good start with a few Backstabs and/or SI:7s it will be an uphill battle no matter what tho.

If you had to replace Huge Toad, I suppose Loot Hoarder is the best option.

It is mostly a Hybrid list, aggressive versus midrange and control, but controlling versus aggressive decks.

What rank are you? How many games? What classes did you play against? What cards caused you to lose? Without evidence of gameplay, I can only assume it is the player piloting the deck incorrectly.
