I get the feeling that you just championing your preferred play-style and disregarding others. Well, actually, you're belittling aggro decks by calling them brainless, but setting your personal standard as the value others ought to match is unjust.

The meta is like water anyway. It will find the path the least resistance and flow in that direction. You can be a rock in the stream and it will flow past you. You can be a leaf and flow with it. Or, you can try to divert the movement of the meta by finding an exploitative deck that shifts the stream. You are part of the greater game; instead of making a case for God (Blizz) to come move the river for you, why not accept your part in it?

And, honestly, the meta is less than a week old right now. Patience will bear out changes.

posted a message on Wow that's fun to play against!

The meta perpetuates itself. What you are complaining about is the cultural milieu of the game: decks growing more efficient as they play against each other, shaping the meta around them as they do. Don't think about the players; each deck is an entity on its own and forms a part of the whole construct. The meta itself is like water in a pot on the stove: at the beginning, it has volume and potential. As time passes, there is less and less room to move.

Your argument against netdecking is to state a personal value and then demean each player that fails to meet that value. That doesn't lead anywhere. Why not be pro-active instead? Consider why the state of the meta is as it is. If you want to be a part of the larger community, create a deck that fits the meta by countering it or joining it. Right now, the pot is full of water. Don't complain, engage and be a part of shaping the greater meta.

posted a message on Top Five Highest Win-Rate Witchwood Decks

So the five highest win-rate decks contain one or two new cards with the exception of Warlock who went crazy and put three new cards in. Turns out the best thing about Witchwood was the rotation.

Something to take advantage of the fact that dormant minions just take up board real estate. Behind a taunt against some minion heavy aggro deck, your op might lose half their board space in one turn.

posted a message on The Year of the Raven is Coming to Hearthstone - Ice Block, Molten Giant, Coldlight Oracle to be Hall of Famed

Watching the Year of the Mammoth retrospective, I remembered how much fun this game is. It's too easy to get bogged down into the quagmire of the meta, bitching about this or that deck or match-up. It's good to be reminded how much fun the art direction, style, sound effects, and card theming are. So much fun! Yeah, gameplay is king with any game, but the aesthetic goes a long, long way.

posted a message on Opening Moves Week Day 1 - Choosing a Win Condition

This article is completely pointless. The obvious first step is not to build a deck, it's to copy a Tier 1 deck code to your clipboard.

posted a message on The Pepper Thread - Share your good vibes!

Tried out a Druid deck that focuses on abusing Spectral Tiger's immortal nature. Played against a Dead Man's Hand Warrior. N'Zoth and Ixlid gave me a total of eight Tigers. Poor Warrior, he never stood a chance. My immortal tigers were too much for him and his Coldlight Oracles just refilled my hand with further tigers. Not sure if it's a good deck or not, but it was perfect for that match-up and really made the start of the day fantastic.

posted a message on New Card Revealed: Skulking Geist

While this analysis covers only Standard, Wild should also be considered. I'm not going to provide analysis, just getting the cards out there:

    Druid

    • Raven Idol
    • Living Roots

    Mage

    • Arcane Blast
    • Ice Lance

    Paladin

    • Avenge

    Rogue

    • Conceal

    Warlock

    • Power Overwhelming

This will also destroy spare parts, 1-mana Kaza potions, any 2-Mana spells from Renounce darkness that get that 1-Mana discount, any 3-Mana spells a mage might get off of Glyph, and the discover cards created from Explore Un'goro.

I'm sure I missed some and I know I skipped some like Sacred Trial or Light of the Naaru. The nice thing about Geist is that it will get better and better in Wild as time goes on.
