calling shaman weaker incarnation of mage is just.. THE ELEMENTS WILL DESTROY YOU!

It is for new players though. Shaman is only good if you guess what your opponent has in their deck more or less correctly.

posted a message on nerf Cobalt Guardian?

Druid needs IMMUNE when attacking, and the turn after. I attack Gahz'rilla with hero power, I take 6 damage, and next turn it attacks me for 12 damage. That's 18 damage in one turn! I heal with tree of life and summoned two wisps, but die next turn anyway. It's just dumb.

What rank is everyone playing at? How is Shaman anything but dead right now?

I've never been so frustrated with Shaman since freeze mage. I'll just stop playing until Shaman is playable again.

I feel Shaman is playable again since control warrior and handlock are so popular right now. Shamans only bad matchups that are sorta popular are priest (hasn't gotten better in gvg and is in a slump) and hunter (a lot less common now but still shamans worst matchup for me).

vs Control is not the problem. The problem is the lack of response to the new early board presence from other classes. The Leper Clockwork Gnome for example clears totems and leads to a turn 3 4/4. Now even Paladin gets a very strong early game. All Shaman got were good mid-late game cards like Crackle and Neptulon. I took a hint from the pros and put Zombie Chow in the deck, which helped out somewhat. It's still rough most of the time. My favorite classes are Shaman, Rogue, and Priest, and this expansion has been brutal.

posted a message on I crafted Neptulon, now i feel silly.

You already had Troggzor for your 7 drop so Neptulon doesn't fit. You should play around with either.

I opened a Neptulon in a pack. It's usually pretty solid as a 7th turn play, and it can get ridiculous in a top deck situation.

p.s. Enhance-O Mechano is an MVP of 11point5ft's deck. You should try to get it imo.

Mage doesn't have the draw mechanic like Warlock or the pre-nerf Hunter. There are a lot of good answers to their strategies.

Zapomatic - Great pressure, demands to be dealt with. Blatently better than Dust Devil and the 3 mana 2/3.

Shaman has enough minions that "demands to be dealt with" in constructed. Shaman needs minions that stick around and get buffed. Zap with the 2 health and no deathrattle just doesn't cut it. Dunemaul has the same problem.

Neptulon isn't as bad as people think, but the 7-mana spot will be taken by Dr. Boom and/or Troggzor instead.

Vitality Totem came in too late. It would've been the best card when freeze mage was still a thing.

Really the only good card is Crackle, but I'm afraid that's not enough to reincarnate the dead Shaman.

In the 10 games I managed to play this Turn 2, it got killed right away in 9 of them. Still better off with Spectral Spider.

OP:  your profile says your favorite class is priest, lol

lol I set that like wayy b4 naxx when priest was gimmicky and nothing else :P

this is the deck I am currently running

    New Order [Legend][October Update]
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (16) Ability (12) Weapon (2)
    Loading Collection

A deck 2x Shadow Madness, 2x Mind Control Tech, and 2x Cabal Shadow Priest has a decent chance of completely destroying death rattle heavy Shaman decks.

posted a message on Ysera viable?

With so many other lategame options, Ysera is only the best when both sides are starting to run out of cards, and you don't have other sources of damage output. It's mostly just Control Warrior, but if your other decks run into that situation a lot, Ysera is worth considering.

the problem with jarraxus is that 15 max hp leaves you open to so many different combos and you end up dieing

We're talking about post Leeroy nerf here. The only reason Handlock moved from Jaraxxus to Leeroy was because of the Power Overwhelming Leeroy Faceless combo.

fon+roar/ minions on board/miracle with cold blood/malygos miracle/shaman burst with a mix of flametongue/rockbiter/alakir/doomhammer/blood lust / mage spells to the face. also when you play jarraxus it dosent change the board possition at all but move a 3 health minion. and if for some reason someone is running demon lock you get sacrificial pacted. theres just to many ways for jarraxus to go wrong. alex is alot more solid as an option in handlock, and i dont think i would run both

You're talking about playing Jaraxxus at a board disadvantage. That should never be done. Clear Shaman minions with Hellfire. Slam down a Sludge Belcher or Defender of Argus. With Lifetap it shouldn't be hard to get the cards you need to control the board into early lategame, and once you do, Jaraxxus wins.

Running both Alex and Jaraxxus isn't a bad idea. Finite damage output is always a problem for Handlock. You need to burn those Hexes, Equality, Peacekeeper, etc., and still have minions left over to do damage.

It's an auto lose to aggro, of course. That's why I said hold off to see if the meta becomes control heavy.

Neither. Keep the dust and wait for the meta to evolve.

Handlock might go back to Jaraxxus if the meta becomes control heavy. But we don't know that yet.

I don't see Malygos decks ever having consistent performance with this cardpool.

It was overkill and done poorly.  Uth should have had another nerf making hounds nonbeast and it would have been fine.  Instead they have made buzzard so bad that its unplayable.  They really messed up things with nax but won't admit it.. And it looks like they were too stubborn to fix uth.. So now ur left with a useless card

And as for hunters.... Even at its best it can't compete with the meta control decks.

One area they did mess up on is beast in general. There are more beasts in the game than I can count... They have made far too many. Little things like that break balance.. If creepers wasn't a beast.. Something that simple it could have adjusted alot

You got it backwards. It's better to nerf the Buzzard than nerfing all future beasts. Blizzard doesn't want to have to think "what about the Buzzard" whenever they want to print a powerful beast card in the future.

It was the same thing with the Warsong Commander. They could have nerfed Molten Giant instead, but Warsong Commander was stopping them from making powerful cards in the future.

Warrior survived Blizzard completely breaking their only archetype at the time. Hunter will survive just fine.

Hunter isn't dead, but the combo itself is. 8 mana is a bit much. There's pretty much the one Hunter archetype left, just like most other classes. (when is that Zoo nerf coming?)

On unrelated news: The reverse power creep is real. They'll keep nerfing old cards so the new cards will always be strong and exciting. It's probably a better solution than the MtG rotations and power resets imo.
