If you have the place for two of those, you might just run 2 Flamewaker. in what situation will this card be good? you don't really want to play this on t4, because it will just die and you will lose a lot of tempo, and later on you'll want something bigger to control the board.
Think about how often your opponent has an answer for Doomsayer. basically the only ways you can consistently play Doomsayer is either early on in the game (turn 2, 3, maybe 4) to deal with early game threats, or together with Frost Nova to clear board. considering the fact this card costs 5 mana, your opponent probably has an answer to it when played on turn 5 or later, so you just wasted 5 mana, and of course there is no reason to play this + Frost Nova for 8 mana just for a 7/7 which also extremely vulnerable to to silence.

This card is bad

Is it better or worse in standard mode?

Sunwalker doesn't see competitive play, and this is a little bit worse, so...
Another way to look at it: it's a Fen Creeper that can't die in 1 strike.

"You smell like a Leper Gnome!"

so... 90% the time this is basically identical to an Elven Archer. or you can think about it like a Mortal Coil that always draws you a Wisp.

Very similar to Brann Bronzebeard, which means its good, but not meta-defining.

Seems familiar... oh, right:

Only playable in Astral Communion Druid.

Yeah 7/7 for 2 cards that cost 6 mana is really poor. The same way you can get Ragnaros the Firelord with Innervate for a much bigger value
