posted a message on Do you think quest shaman is bad for the game?

This, both of this actually. Pretty much all the lackeys are overpowered for their cost as they are. Making them an easy activator for a quest reward that further enhances them is what tips the scales. I also find them quite unfun as a concept, but that's just an opinion.

The suggested quest nerf (double only the next battlecry) would also be not completely uncalled for and wouldn't kill the viability of battlecry quest decks at all, given the cheap and borderline OP lackey battlecries as activators. The reward would have to be used more thoughtfully and wouldn't give a free hand refill every turn anymore.

Edit: I'm an idiot who doesn't know how to quote.

Edit: I'm too stupid to quote. I'll write it out instead.

I beat him with Elistra the Immortal as well. I got it to start in my hand and be invisible (with the cloak of invisibility passive), both of which were absolutely necessary. Jepetto drew Houndmaster Shaw into Sylvanas, which would've kinda wrecked my strat.

posted a message on Have any been able to beat Jeppetto on heroic?

    Well,

I happened to encounter him with the most busted deck I've managed to put together so far. Played as priest, got the 3 mana 1/1 that retains all buffs played on him this run and managed to get it to always start in my hand. Later I got the cloak of invisibility, as well as a ton of buff spells, so by the time I got to the final boss I had myself an perma-stealthed untargetable monster. Without the cloak, that wouldn't have been enough - I would've lost to (drawn) shaw into (drawn) sylvanas. I reckon he'd have given me a hard time without any of the puzzle pieces involved.

You don't gain any net dust, though.

Regular Baku gives you a 1600 dust refund plus 400 if you dust him = 2000 dust. The math for an extra golden copy is: 3200 (refund) - 3200 (crafting cost) + 1600 (dust golden one) + 400 (dust regular one) = 2000 dust

Crafting the extra golden copy now only gives you a discount on the upgrade if you want to keep the golden one.

Back then, the meta essentially was Deathrattle Hunter against its counter, which was a Freeze Mage with an absurd amount of freeze effects. A Spellbreaker allowed you to smack face anyway.

Interesting, although druids might find a way to use it in their favor. Just like King Togwaggle, who seemingly affects both players in the same way unless it's comboed with Azalina Soulthief and druid cards.

This has been brought up a lot of times in the past. Yes, silence is a counter to this card, and you may think it's worthless if the opponent is holding any. The same goes for Carnivorous Cube, which is definitely still kicking. What if they wanted to save their silence for something bigger and you can force it out with this threat? What if your deck has more than one silence-worthy target? You can definitely play around silence if you're expecting it. Plus, the deathrattle activators Rogue packs nowadays definitely make this card interesting.
