Well they never stated that you would get a legendary, you get 15 packs that’s it. And the rng on packs will not change just because you paid some money.

I had enough gold for an arena run every day and i really didn't mind losing in constructed because everyghing felt fresh.
Neither of those statements stands for MTGA. The game makes it seem like f2p wont be viable, there are gem-only modes, the draft is way too expensive (you keep the cards, but i'm there for the draft, not the cards) and nothing at all feels "cool".
I really hope they introduce ghost drafts, otherwise i see myself uninstalling if it starts to feel like a constant uphill battle.

I say give the odd-control warrior a try! I have a ton of fun playing it personally.
Also, if you enjoy warlock all, control warlock is making a little bit of a resurgence I think. I can link the deck list I've used over the past few days if you'd like.

Those two are good for making corpsetaker work, but corpsetaker does rotate out soon. I'm not sure how good they'll be in even paladin, especially Kangor, once that card is out of standard.
In the meantime, you could replace them with annoy-o-module (divine shield and taunt) and/or chillblade champion(lifesteal).

Saronite Chain Gang also rotates out, so I'm struggling to see how even the mid-range version sticks around in standard without being able to fill the board with shudderwoks
