Hey, I made a deck similar to this just this morning! I first tried a control style with Hallazeal, but since I didn't have elemental destruction it never really worked. So now I made this, and it's been quite good! Only differences are that I have a rockbiter, doomhammer and lava shock instead of justicar and the second portal and storm. Early game often feels just a bit slower than aggro, but much stronger mid-game. I just love getting crazy witchdoctor totem boards!
Doomhammer has really helped break down taunts and key threats, and push that little extra bit for lethal. My only worry about Justicar is that it might slow down the deck too much right at the key 5-7 mana turns, but it does add good consistency late game vs control decks.
Hunter has been my worst matchup, too. It really depends on if you can solidify your board presence in turns 5-7, because if you aren't way ahead on the board by turn 8, call the wild will destroy you.
I love playing this deck though! After finally finishing grinding out my 500 Paladin wins yesterday, I needed to mix things up, and totem shaman really is the way to go! Just these two cards from Karazhan made a huge difference - Wicked Witchdoctor is probably one of the most underrated but impactful cards from Karazhan

There is one for feeding 10, one for feeding 20, and now the last one is unlocked at feeding 60. Not there yet...

I've had that happen when I tried Onyxia + evolve. 6 whelps evolving means 6 chances to get Doomsayer. Wild Pyromancer can also do some damage in those situations.

Isn't part of the point of decks like mill rogue and fatigue warrior that you need your spells and removal to stay alive while you shut down your opponent? You are giving up all utilitiy for the RNG of having sweet legendaries, which I don't see as being viable.

Hunter with 2x flare, secret keeper, kezan mystic, Harison Jones, Hemet Nessingwary and BGH

You realize the example you quote at the beginning which you really enjoyed was pretty much the exact same situation. Why get him to 160 attack when odds are any more than 30 is overkill? He's playing more cards, showing off, being a little bit of an (entertaining) jerk. It's hard to say for any given individual what they get out of playing out their full hand of BMing when they have lethal, since the communications in HS are so limited, but the guy getting hit for 160 probably wished it was just over already, too

The question with MoD is, as it always has been, is she really better than conceal? Since conceal 1) hides all of your minions, 2) is a spell, thus synergizing with Gadgetzan, 3) costs 1, so you can use it as a combo activator.
I REALLY want MoD to work, and have played her in troll decks to great effect, but think conceal would be better overall for this deck to be more competitive.

I have 4940 gold, 800 dust, 50 pack preorder, and $10 in google play credit for another 7 packs, so I plan on opening around 110 packs when it opens. My collection is currently complete except for a second copy of hungry crab and a second copy of twilight whelp

I've been guessing they're going to repeat GvG strategy of releasing it first for Arena and then making packs available for constructed a few days later

I may be wrong, but in the past I thought they revealed the cards one weekend, opened the expansion in arena the next week, and in constructed the week after. Is that how GVG went?
