Before SoU dropped, I ran them in an aggro warrior deck and they perform nicely.

Buckets were the main thing separating more-skilled arena players from the pack.  The old system allowed for far too much luck from a draft to have extra-powerful decks, whereas buckets allowed more consistency in your decks if you knew the bucket system.  I think this is a bad choice. 

This is a lazy move because they don't want to balance the buckets after every 2-month arena rotation, nor could they effectively do so in the first place.  Having randomly swapped arena sets every two months sounds fun, but it's a bad idea from a balance standpoint.

11-1? Are you nuts?! Finish that run! Like the other guy said, letting your run get refunded is best when you have 2 losses and an average/cruddy run going. I'd say if you hit 6-2, just keep going and just start a new run before the rotation.  If you're at 2 losses before you get to 5 wins, let them "refund" it and get your free ticket.

Just a bit condescending dude...  If arena runs aren't retired (mine aren't either), how did arena rotate? The new cards aren't available, so you're saying it's intentional by Blizz that any new run only has the pre-determined old sets yet obviously not the SoU set?

That would be an extremely limited card pool and I doubt it's intentional. Regardless, my runs have not been retired yet and I can understand the confusion.

Good grief... I don't think most of you are thinking clearly.  Versatile cards have proven time and time again that they are useful.  Obviously, individually each effect is average, but that's true of pretty much every Choose One effect.  Are you telling me Choose One effects always suck?  It's certainly a 'Playable' card at the least and borderline 'Very Good' in the correct deck.

 I wouldn't say it's that much stronger.  Stacking the Curse treasure and Randomizing cost of cards combined with picking all big stuff works well for every class.

I just leave it on on my PC and get my packs while participating in life.  I also have a secondary f2p account that gets the packs from the app on my old phone.  My point is that you don't have to waste your time watching to get those packs.

Why are you drafting for synergy?  If the synergies happen, then let them happen.  But if you're passing up good cards in buckets to reach for synergy then you're drafting wrong.  Also, as someone else said, this is an aggressive meta.  You're best off having at least 4-5 one drops.  Crystallizer, for example, is currently one of the highest performing cards.

You ought to check in on HSreplay for stats and also make sure you're keeping up to date on the latest nerfs to offering rates.  They recently nerfed the crap out of Hunter and buffed rogue for some reason.  Mage and Paladin were nerfed and Shaman/Warrior were buffed.  You have to know these subtleties if you plan on banging out a 5+ win average.

I'll get there eventually.  That's a little too much time investment to get it done so fast though.  I'll probably just complete a run here and there and finish it all in a year or so.

Heartharena is a better tool than Lightforge for players needing more guidance.  Heartharena explains the choices and shows you the synergies as you draft, whereas lightforge tier list is strictly a list based on raw performance.  And like the other guy said, why are you playing Microtech Controller in a board with a 1/1 when you have other options?  Arena is Hearthstone at it's basics: learn to value trade and control the board above all else and usually you'll be all right.

There was no way you were a 5.0 win average and dropped to 0-1 wins.  In fact, I myself have a 5.8 win average (I track all of them on heartharena) and I have NEVER gone 0-3 or 1-3 in a total of 83 runs.

I suggest tracking everything, because it's more likely that you were an average arena player (3 wins-ish) and currently struggling and seeing those 1 and 0 win runs.  Anyway, you're not playing well if you're not getting to 3 wins, plain and simple.
