But I won't stop playing Hearthstone. I admit that I'm simply addicted to the game.
I will never, ever resort to playing cancer though.

Nicholasjh posted a message on Fixing the broken cancer meta: quitting HS Play Mode.Posted in: General DiscussionWhy wouldn't you resort to playing cancer? It's a great way to learn how to beat them. You play, and every loss you see how the opponent beats said cancer.... after a few rounds of that you know how to play! -

Veprix posted a message on Another Disappointing BrawlPosted in: Tavern BrawlIt has been less than 24 hours since the All-Star Squad brawl was released for this week. I have played 30 games so far and 28 of those have been against the same 3 decks - Murloc Tidecaller , Mind Blast and Mechwarper. It often occurs in brawls that a few particular decks outshine the others but for these three decks to be played so frequently and only a few hours after the brawl has been released is a bit much. The reason for this is that even though there are many fun decks to be played and experimented with, none (or very few) come even close to the power level of these three. The issue is not that the decks are good, but that the good decks require the absolute minimal cognitive application. Sure people can be creative and wish to have in depth games by playing Renounce Darkness , Swashburglar or Babbling Book - but what's the point if they get run over every game with one of the three powerhouses that require no effort.
Brawl should be a game mode that rewards creativity and experimentation but it seems like it is moving further away from that idea every week. Granted the large majority of people only play brawl for the pack, which could be a good explanation for why only the few strongest decks are played; but maybe if people had a remotely interesting experience while getting that pack, they might want to play some more brawl. Truth is for a lot of people, fun is few and far between in brawls that have just a few face decks that nothing else can touch. Here's hoping the next brawl designs are a bit more thought out.
All that being said: Everything I said in this post is strictly my opinion and it is not my intention to deter people from decks they enjoy. Even if I don't agree with some aspects of the game, I still respect them. So if I criticized a deck that you enjoy playing - don't let that stop you :)

tfink03 posted a message on Upcoming Hearthstone Balance Changes - Shaman, Hunter, Warrior, Yogg-SaronPosted in: NewsThis is by far the best balance patch they released so far. Good Work and i think they began listening a bit to the community. I am really surprised, since normally they stomp a card into oblivion when they nerf it.
But i am unsure whehter i like this Yogg nerf. For competetive Play this was absolutly neccesary. But a ban for Tournaments might have been enough. But i get 1600 Dust. Thats nice :)
Furthermore i believe that a major rework of the basic and classic set is needed for some classes, mostly shaman and priest. Priest is nothing and Shaman will be nothing if they stop realeasing overpowerd cards for Thrall.
At last i think they should maybe start buffing some cards. If they just nerf the classic set will become weaker and weaker over time, but maybe thats what they want.
But this is just little whiney. Its a great patch and very welcome. :)

RobotMiner posted a message on New Heroes are Coming! Magni Bronzebeard Confirmed, New Card BackPosted in: News1) The resources they are using do not overlap with expansion or adventure design. The art and animation teams work on this while the design and balance teams work on the cards and adventures. So, no one is losing out. And, they just finished their a major technical project of the phone port, so they have these extra resources.
2) It is not "entirely" for profit. Players have been asking for this since day 1 of closed beta. A lot of people care about cosmetics and, believe it or not, that has been integral to the growth of the game. The huge, huge spenders on this game spend more than they need to get all the cards so they can get the golden version. And, skins have been a huge thing for online games in general. TF2, League, mounts in WoW, etc. -

This is a really well-thought out deck, needed a couple of tries to get a better draw the first few turns, but overall, it worked perfectly. He had 3 secrets on him by turn 4-5, but my dispels were ready. We went on for quite a while, since he was destroying my minions every turn. He even outdrew himself and destroyed a Soulfire (indeed KT, good DK help *is* hard to find!). I was on 20+ HP when he fatigued himself, just as my 5 damage to the face came.
Thank you for sharing this deck!
